"Great!  Very pleased with this provider.  Pleasant and responsive on phone - initially emailed pictures of structure to see if they could provide appropriate services and called me right back and was quickly available to come over for a free estimate and preliminary measuring for pricing.  Estimate quote was between two others I received from other companies ($1100 and another $1600-$1800) and used the same Sunbrella fabric (and was far more professional than the cheaper company I dealt with for an estimate).  He brought a book of fabric to choose from and offered a few more, wrote up an official quote and I gave a check for half.  He promised a 2 week turned around time, which was really about a month... I initially wasn't in any rush as it was early spring, but when I called to check in the girls on the phone were VERY sweet and professional and would get back to me as promised.  I told them I was hoping to have it for a party I had planned last minute and they had it completed and installed the day before.  Installation took about 15 minutes and it looks great!!  Very pleased.  Good sturdy material...  They offered to remove and re-install in Fall and Spring for winter storage for a small fee... but I haven't asked what this would be as of yet.

"We were extremely happy with the work performed by H&M. Moises, Hector and crew were courteous and did whatever needed to please us. They did most of the renovation in our condo......painting, installation of bathroom cabinets, sink, installed tile floor, etc. They also installed vinyl flooring in our kitchen, living and dining rooms. They had a plumber replace our heating baseboard, I would highly recommend H&M if you want excellent work done!!"

"Mr. Roca came to give an estimate the same day I called. The work was scheduled right away. The work crew showed up on time and completed all projects quickly. Final results look great. I would definitely call them for other jobs."

"Roger visited my apt and agreed to do the work for $1500. That was to remove the shower floor, re-set it and tile. He also agreed to re-caulk the walls since some of the old grout was cracking. The entire lower row of wall tiles in my shower would need to be removed in order to remove the floor tiles in the shower. I agreed to buy those wall tiles separately from the $1500 fee. I paíd 1/3 of the fee as a deposit. Another 1/3 hall-way thru and another 1/3 when finished. Roger assured me the work would be completed in 3 days, and it was. If he agreed to be in my apt at a certain time, he was always punctual. He did a great job and was very friendly and professional. I honestly wish I'd hired Roger 2 years ago when my bathroom was renovated. I was very happy with the price, the work that was done and getting to know Roger a little bit. I would hire him again in the future and would recommend him to anyone.

"First, finding a firm that does storm windows is difficult these days.  Window contractors only want to do new window installation.  Although my primary windows need some work (putty and paint) I wanted to keep them because of the beautiful natural wood finish on the inside.
When I explained this to Sam he was very helpful. He showed me a number of options, but agreed with my final decision.  He ordered the storm windows for me, and when they arrived he and an assistant installed all of the windows in about six hours.  They did a good and professional job.
My only disappointment is the quality of the windows themselves.  They are quite good, and certainly adequate, but are no where near the quality of the 60 year old windows they are replacing.  They simply are not as well made.  I don't expect to see any savings in fuel this winter, but I do have windows that can be easily opened and closed, which the old ones no longer were.  But hey, they were 60 years old!  I have retained seven of the old windows that still work well and are not visible from the street; at present I have no plans to replace them.
I also had Window Mill replace front and rear doors and storm/screen doors.  Here I'm very happy with the quality of the doors themselves, and Sam and his crew did an excelent and timely job of installing them.

Patio Covers questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can replace just the fabric on an awning without having to replace the entire awning frame and hardware. This process will take a professional about one to two hours. If you want to DIY, it could take longer, especially for large or retractable awnings. Replacing the fabric on an awning can improve the look of your home and help naturally cool your interior and exterior spaces.

Hurricane fabric is a temporary form of hurricane protection that offers an alternative to boarding up windows or installing traditional storm panels. It is installed over windows, doors, and other openings before a storm. When installed properly, hurricane fabric is tested and proven to protect homes from Category 5 hurricanes, which can have winds over 157 miles per hour. It is intended to block the majority of wind and rain and protect against water, debris, and projectile damage. While the fabric is exceptionally durable, windows can still break if hit directly by high-velocity debris. Compared to other options, hurricane fabric is more protective than hurricane window film. Boarding up windows is more labor-intensive and requires storing heavy plywood, while hurricane screens are permanently attached to your home. To further increase protection, you can take additional steps like securing outdoor items and fortifying your home's foundation.

Creating a screen room is one of the most cost-effective ways to enclose a patio so you can still use it in the winter. Most screen rooms aren’t insulated, so you’ll need to wrap up warm or use patio heaters in winter. Also, be aware they might not hold up well if you live in a location where heavy snow is common.

Yes, most awnings include warranties for materials and installation. Confirm terms before purchasing.

There are many ways to mitigate wind damage. Some of the most common methods include installing storm windows and doors and wind-rated garage doors. When you get a wind mitigation inspection, the inspector will also assess the condition and shape of your roof to see how well it will withstand strong winds.
