Donigan Painting provides paperless billing. To start a job we ask for materials money and 1/3 to get the ball rolling. Upon completion and satisfaction with the work the remaining balance is due. If there is additional work added this will be included in the final bill.

"I had cabinets painted that were promised in contract to have two coats of primer and 3 coats of paint. He said he made a mistake and it should have been 3 coats of primer and two coats of paint. Well, I didn’t get two coats of paint because you could still see the white primer through the paint. He also said the cabinets would be spray painted, but you can clearly see the paint was put on with a brush as the back of the door was not painted at all. He also broke one of the handles and told me that if I wanted that door to have a handle I would have to buy a new one. I was told the job would take a week but it took 2 weeks. When I contacted Bill about the issues it was two weeks after the job was complete as I was in the hospital recovering from surgery. I did however make sure I paid him in full so he didn’t have to wait until I recovered. I am attaching our exchange for the past 2 weeks. His responses are very unprofessional and he would reschedule to fix the job but never show up. He didn’t call; he just didn’t show up. I am still sitting here with unfinished cabinets 2 weeks later and 2,500 dollars poorer. I wish I could post more than 10 photos so that everyone could see the conversation about the door handle and how he decided what he put In the contract was an accident. I chose the 10 pictures of our latest conversation instead. As you can see from the photos there is no way there was two coats put on those gray cabinets."

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

You may end up with extra wallpaper once your project is finished. Hang on to that wallpaper, as you may need to use it to patch up areas that get damaged later on. If you have a lot of excess wallpaper, try getting creative with it. You can use it to line the inside of a cabinet or drawers, for example.

Most experts would not recommend hanging wallpaper over existing wallpaper more than twice. Even if the walls are in good condition and primed well, that third layer of wallpaper could cause problems with adhesion. Unless you like bubbling paint and peeling wallpaper as an interior design choice, it’s better to remove at least one existing layer before adding any more to a wall.

Removing wallpaper can be easy if you have a non-coated wallpaper, but most homeowners have vinyl-coated wallpaper, which is more durable but tears very easily during the removal process. This feature makes it challenging and time-consuming to remove most wallpaper. There are tools to speed up the process, like steamers, but, unfortunately, it’s easy to permanently damage your walls when using them. In most cases, it’s best to hire a professional wallpaper remover to get the job done quickly and without damaging your home.

How long peel-and-stick wallpaper lasts depends on a few factors, including the conditions in the room, the quality of the wallpaper, and the wallpaper's application. As a general rule, peel-and-stick wallpaper can last for at least five years, but you may decide to remove it sooner. Under ideal conditions, it can also last for much longer.

Factors that may shorten the lifespan of peel-and-stick wallpaper include high humidity in a room (such as a bathroom), dirty walls, and low-quality paper.

Wallpaper lasts an average of around 15 years, but there is some variance. The type of wallpaper matters, as vinyl wallpaper tends to last the longest—sometimes 20 years or more—while a peel-and-stick wallpaper, which is the easiest to install for DIYers, will usually only last for around five years. Exposure to high humidity, smoke, and UV rays from sunlight can also limit the lifespan of your wallpaper, as can heavy traffic in the installation area.
