Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. He was very respectful of my elderly mother and hung plastic barrier up also to help cut back on the dust through the house. which was very much appreciated.
