"DMS Haulers were Fantastic! They were pleasant, respectful of my home, quick & efficient. David & his partner took down my wood shed in a timely manner & cleaned up so well. I would definitely use them again & refer them to my friends & family. Thank you for a job well done."

"I never write reviews but I felt that I had to because these amazing people took all the stress out of a very stressful situation. So these angels came to help my wife and I out with one day notice! Long story short I was cheated out of my deposit with a "freight" company called En-Route Relocation services (NEVER USE THEM) the day before the move so I was scrambling to find a moving service that was reputable so I found BeeLine. White glove service isn't even the word I would describe their work and professionalism. The movers were so careful with our furniture, so fast so clean and organized like a well oiled machine and were done in a few hours. If/when I ever move again I will definitely be calling again. PS Thank you for helping us get all of our stuff into our new place in 24hours."

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

There are many maintenance and repair issues that lead to a malfunctioning garbage disposal. Regular clogs place wear and tear on the motors, leading to an eventual shutdown. Electrical issues at the breaker, wall outlet, or disposal itself can fry the unit. The most common cause is simply a worn-down motor. These motors can only handle so much use before powering down for good.

Most garbage disposals have a reset button that can be triggered with a tool as simple and accessible as your index finger. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. Most garbage disposals come with a hex wrench.

If the cost of repairing a leaking garbage disposal is close to the cost of replacing the disposal, then fixing the unit might not make sense. When deciding if you should repair or replace your garbage disposal, consider the age of your garbage disposal, the cost of the repair, and whether your garbage disposal has had other problems recently to help you decide if the cost of repairing the leak is better than the cost of replacing the disposal.

No, you do not need a garbage disposal to have a dishwasher. A dishwasher will work without one, and while it's rare to see a home with a dishwasher that doesn't have a disposal, it is possible. The two appliances pair well and are often installed together because a disposal simplifies meal cleanup.

However, your dishwasher should not be used as a replacement for a garbage disposal. Subjecting it to continuous food leftovers can lead to major clogs. If you choose not to install a garbage disposal, you should thoroughly rinse your plates or scrape excess food into the trash or a compost pile before loading them into the dishwasher to prevent plumbing issues.

Soil is just one of the items you shouldn't put down a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are only meant for soft, non-fibrous foods. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.
