"Hired these fellas to trim trees and remove stumps around our home after my wife used them around her business. She was extremely impressed and sheâ  s not easily impressed . I was equally as impressed with their fast work and knowledgeable answers to my never ending questions (I like to be in the know) . They have trimmed several trees around our home and pruned our fruit trees including apple, cherry, peach, and a pear tree. As well as added much needed support to our rapidly growing willow tree. After the pruning and magic potion they gave our trees most of them have doubled in trunk size in one growth season! The standard of care far outweighed my own! The are in speed dial for our property care needs now and into the future!"

"Darryl was very quick to reply to get an estimate to put deck trex over our concrete porch in August of 2020. He gave a fair price and got the project started quickly so that we could use the porch for our daughter in law's bridal shower. He was responsive to any concerns , worked well with us and finished the job in good time. I would hire him again for other jobs!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

The best fence option for you depends on your property, budget, and style preferences, but a corrugated metal fence could be a good option if you want something durable yet low-maintenance. Unlike wood, corrugated metal won’t fall prey to rot or pest damage, and the metal can be recycled after its life as a fence comes to an end.

Most homeowners don't need to inform their neighbors before constructing a fence, according to the law, but you will need to make sure that you’re building on the property line or on your side of the property line. Otherwise, the neighbor could complain, which would require you to tear down and reinstall the fence. In any case, keeping them in the loop is the neighborly thing to do!

Whether you inform your neighbors or not, always use property records and a land survey to ensure your fence stays within your property boundaries.

While power washing isn't a requirement before you stain a fence, it can make the job much easier and faster while reducing manual labor requirements. The stain will not work if the wood is full of dirt and dust, so power washing, sometimes called pressure washing, is a fast and effective way to prepare the wood for staining. Remember that you need to stain or repaint relatively soon after the wood has dried so that there isn’t time for dust and dirt to build up again.

If the fence is on one neighbor’s property, that person is responsible for repairs, regardless of who benefits from the fence more. The other neighbor must keep trees and other obstacles from crossing the property line and affecting the fence. If the fence is directly on the property line, though, who owns a shared fence? Many states have laws that address this issue. Typically, the two property owners would share responsibilities and costs for fence maintenance and repair. You may need a property line survey to precisely determine ownership and responsibility.

The depth of your post hole depends on your post length. If you decide on a two-rail fence, the posts are likely 6 feet long. You want your hole to be at least 1/3 of the post length. In this case, your post hole should be two feet deep.

If you opt for a three-rail fence, the posts will typically be 7 feet long, meaning your post hole should be 28 inches deep.
