After inspecting existing parts he told me that the knob and deadbolt were of very good quality and recommended just changing the lock cylinders. He did just that and happily honoured an Angies list coupon (even though I was unable to print it). His honesty saved me well over $150.00 He took his time and was not in a rush, sort of how you might remember skilled craftsmen from the past. He answered all my questions and made sure all worked perfectly before leaving. I will definitely hire Joe again and can recommend him highly. He also happens to be a very nice guy."

"My front door lock became inoperative.  I called American Locksmith and they responded in a timely manor.  My problem was diagnosed and I was given options.  A new, exact replacement lock would have been $500 installed.  They suggested getting replacement parts, as the  majority of the lock was in good condition.  The replacement parts were ordered ans in a couple of days were installed.  The lock now works perfectly.
Without question, my best interest was put first and all work was done reliably and efficiently.  I would recommend American Locksmith to anyone.

"Choice responded quickly but the insurance plan does not pay for all doors to be re-keyed unless you have very few locks. The number of locks covered by the insurance is determined by keyholes, not doors! (Read your policy!) You will likely have to shell out some money to have this essential new-home service if you have more than four keyholes. The locksmith they called was EXCELLENT and made all our locks completely functional. We will happily hire the locksmith again (R.L Locksmith LLC). We paid $201.81 (plus another $50 for some door re-alignment not included in the re-keying benefit) and Choice paid $100 for the job."
