"Very happy with the quality, timing and price. Good communication as well. The old roof had to be removed from both the main house and detached garage. The house had multiple layers of shingles that needed to come off and the garage also had the original cedar shingles in addition to the many layers of asphalt shingles. It was very messy getting the old roof off but the crew was really good about cleaning up. At the end of the first day the yard was a clean as it was before the work started. The entire job took only two days and the crew was able to start work the same week I signed the contract. Because less plywood was used than was quoted, the final price was even a few bucks less than the contracted price I agreed to. So overall I am very happy. Was a really smooth and easy project compared to past home projects."

The next morning, John texted early, saying he’d be by within the hour to pick up the $10,000 deposit. We were told materials would be ordered right away and the project would begin by the end of the month. However, as that date approached, we hadn’t heard anything. We were okay with some delays, but the complete lack of communication was extremely frustrating, especially since we needed to coordinate our work schedules. We were also told the work wouldn’t involve anything on the inside, but that turned out not to be true — which was a big issue since we have two pets. During the project, our flower beds and garden were completely destroyed. While some wear and tear is expected, there was no reason for a large boxwood bush to be crushed with a cinder block when there was clearly space to work around it. Several things were damaged, including blinds, window sills, a shelf, and part of the entrance flooring. While I understand that accidents happen during construction, what bothered us most was the lack of accountability. None of these issues were addressed until we specifically called them back out to deal with them. John never showed up for a single walkthrough, and to our surprise, the entire job was done by a different company altogether — not his own crew. That was something we hadn't anticipated, and unfortunately, we didn’t think to confirm it beforehand again our fault. The windows installed were low quality and very off-brand compared to what we expected. We had also discussed having decorative grills/grid lines in the windows, which were completely left out. In the end, while everything listed in the contract was technically delivered, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. The workmanship felt sloppy, communication was almost nonexistent, and the lack of oversight from the owner was disappointing. We definitely feel we overpaid for what we received. It’s partly on us for not being more proactive during the process, but someone who takes pride in their business would have at least done one final inspection or walkthrough."
