"They did more like a bulldozer's job, we had tons of trees, and I had a stack of trees out there I was ready to get rid of. It was huge; it could have been a 45 or 50 feet full of trees, and 10 or 12 feet high trees. I had trees one could not believe. They were here off and on, they were here from June 2011 until September 2011, they were by at different stages, they cleared the lot, and they cut in, she gave me a place for my footer, they came back a couple of times, and re graded some spots. And they came by and they put in my septic system. I had 3 septic tanks and a pump, and did all paths so that we could walk through. They came back and cleaned up after themselves, I had some other people come in, to cut up all the trees into small little pieces, and they took it out, and they cleaned up probably 6 or 7 inches of the little things off the trees. I am not sure of the cost, and the contractor handled that. They gave a good price on my septic system, and did a good job."

"Everything was great. They came the day they said they would. The quality was above average., They were professional and punctual. They finished within the time frame that they gave. The fixed all of the cracks in the patio and painted the concrete wall on the walkout basement. The recommendation for the color was good as well. I would highly recommend them for anyone that wants epoxy for their patio or sidewalk."

What started as a hobby between Nick & his grandfather, Dominic DeRisio (who was a finish carpenter for over 30 years) emerged into a small carpentry business that completed mostly interior trim work such as custom cabinetry, kitchen remodeling, & custom decks. After a few years in business the company was re-named DeRisio Construction Inc., & now offers a wide range of residential & commercial services in the greater Rochester, NY area, with an emphasis on kitchen, bath & basement remodeling. "This is our Second Concrete Patio that Mario created for us, due to the fact that the first patio did not turn out as well as we had hoped it would.  Mario new were not pleased with how the patio turned out, and he was very concerned with doing a good job for us, so after talking things over with him, we all decided to pour another patio near the previous one, but no changes were made to the first patio.  After several rain delays the second patio was created and looks really good.  It meets all our needs and expectations.  We were very impressed with Mario's' willingness to complete a second patio for us after the first one did not satisfy our needs. I would also like to add that delays are part of the contracting business please be patient and know that your contractor is doing the best he can to get the job done as quickly as possible for you.  Mario was very considerate, and polite throughout the job, he called us often and made sure we knew what was causing the delays. We are very happy with the 2nd patio. Mario did a wonderful job and we hope to see him next year to install concrete sidewalks around our home.  Thank you Mario, this was a job well done, and I know we will enjoy many summer parties on that patio, with all our friends and family."

"It went perfect. On time, courteous crew, zero issues of delays. It’s so pretty! They removed a 40 year old, unleveled slate patio and replaced it with a beautiful stamped concrete patio to support a hot tub and a few late summer nights. Thank you!"

"So far so good! The concrete countertops crafted by JEC Construction look as if they will last many years to come. The unique look of the dyed concrete has helped transform our kitchen from the early 50's to modern times, because of how nice the countertops came out I would likely choose concrete over any other countertop surface in the future."

Concrete Cutting questions, answered by experts

Cutting round ductwork requires precision and the right tools. A duct cutter, specifically designed for circular ducts, is ideal. First, mark the cutting line on the duct using a measuring tape and pencil. Then, position the duct cutter's blade on the marked line. Apply steady pressure, rotating the cutter around the duct. The sharp blade creates a clean, precise cut. Alternatively, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade can be used for larger round ducts. Ensure the duct is securely held in place while making the cut to prevent slips and maintain accuracy.

Yes, but you’ll need reliable steel-cutting tools and safety gear to get started. Shipping containers are typically around ¾ inch thick, so it’s entirely possible to cut through them, but experience and the right equipment are very important. When possible, try to get a container as close to the size you want it as possible.

The best thing to cut metal pipe is a durable pipe cutter that is made for metal. You may want to measure the diameter of the pipes before purchasing a pipe cutter to ensure it will be able to cut your metal pipes. Opt for a heavy-duty option to cut through metal like steel or cast iron.

Welding is the process of using extreme heat—and, sometimes, pressure—to attach two pieces of metal. In contrast, metal fabrication is a more involved process that can include welding, sheet metal work, bending, and other forms of metal manipulation. Metal fabrication is a large-scale project that may or may not involve welding, while welding is more often a step in larger fabrication projects.

Costs depend on unit complexity, labor, wall mounting needs, and additional accessories like floating shelves.
