Prices are typically lower than those of other remodels because major plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work isn't often part of remodeling these rooms.

Renovating a house can take on many forms. The time it takes to perform home renovations will depend primarily on the scope of the project, management skills, and luck. Minor projects, such as painting or upgrading appliances, can take as little as a few days. Installing a major addition can take over a year if outside factors complicate the process.

Renovating just before a move is worth it in cases of severe damage or decay—or if you're actually just making home improvements to flip and sell a property. If your home is in otherwise good condition, don't burden yourself with additional tasks when you're already busy packing.
