"Eddie was great to work with! We had a limited time frame to adhere to town inspections and Eddie and his team knew exactly what we needed and quickly got the job done. The results were great and even the inspector acknowledged the impressive repair. They were able to put a knocked out garage wall back on the foundation and repair the interior dry wall. I would recommend this company for any professional contract work due to their reasonable price, ease to work with and quality of work."

"Hank was very friendly, honest, and easy to deal with. He wrote up clear project plan. He started and ended the project on time. It was a difficult plaster repair in a 1920 house with original plaster on concrete ceilings. There was a huge hole from a plumbing repair and another section severely damaged where the roof that had leaked. Hank was careful to assess the regions were completely dry before starting the job and we even called in a second plumber at his advice to fix an additional leak Hank noticed had not been repaired. He completed the entire project alone and we felt quite comfortable giving him the key to our house. The ceilings are now perfectly smooth, a damaged molding was repaired too, and the walls were repaired where needed and repaired as well. He cleaned up most of the dust and was very careful to keep our floors protected. Note we moved the furniture ourselves. Overall I was very happy and I would hire him again."

"Wilber and his painting crew arrived right on time to perform the job. All work was done in a timely manner and the crew exhibited outstanding professionalism in performing the work. In addition to painting the walls, ceiling and trim in one of our bedrooms and bathroom, they patched any imperfections in the walls and nail holes before they started to paint. After all painting work was complete, Wilber personally walked through all the rooms painted with me to assure I was satisfied. I couldn't be more satisfied with the job Wilber's crew did and I would definitely hire them again, as well as recommend them to others looking for a painter."

"I designed and managed a very extensive local landscape renovation, and worked with Joe on the installation of the patio, which is larger than many studio apartments in the city. The design required a high level of craftsmanship and precision.  The work site was also particularly challenging in the context of precision, with extensive tree roots and hidden complications.  This was a highly scrutinized project that required Landmarks approval and completion that exactly matched my application for construction permit, which included precisely drawn artist renderings of the finished product.
In all of my work with contractors, I have found Joe to be one of the most punctual, responsive, and capable people I have worked with.  I would not hesitate to recommend him and his company. His crew was professional, punctual, respectful, and careful. They handled every aspect of the work, from demolition to stone placement, with the utmost care.  The level of craftsmanship was excellent. During the construction process, Joe checked with me daily to confirm that the work was meeting my expectations and satisfaction.  He was always available to answer questions and address concerns.
The work was completed on time and perfectly matched my specifications.
There was a small issue with the surface that became apparent several days after completion.  I had paid for the work in entirety, and had concerns about how my request for repair might be addressed. There was no need for concern, however, as Joe responded immediately and with a great deal of attention. Less than 10 days after the entire project was begun, it was finished to perfection, including any necessary repairs.
I highly recommend Joe and look forward to working with him again!
Please note that due to client confidentiality, I am not at liberty to disclose the specific address of the work or exact contract amount, but am very happy to be a reference, answer questions about the work done, or share photos. Cevan Castle Environment & Design Inc.

Wall Repair questions, answered by experts

The longevity of flood walls depends on how they were constructed, but most wood, gravel, and cement flood walls last 10 years. While aluminum flood walls may cost far more initially, they can be a good investment as they can last decades and will not be damaged by exposure to the elements.

Rebar is a steel support that goes inside concrete to prevent structural damage over time. Concrete is susceptible to impact, weight, and tension. By inserting rebar into the concrete during the installation, you can help extend its lifespan and avoid hazardous situations where the foundation of your home gives way to tensile forces.

Railroad ties can be good for retaining walls, but it depends on the area. They have a desirable rustic look and are durable. The problem is they’re treated with creosote, a preservative the EPA says poses a risk to humans and wildlife. Over time, the preservative seeps out of the wood and into the ground. Many areas have banned the use of creosote-treated wood on residential properties. If your area does allow it, never use railroad ties near an edible garden or drinking water source. Instead, use wood that’s treated with an EPA-approved preservative or a wood-alternative composite material.

Costs range from $5,000 to $15,000, depending on size, material, and design complexity.

Through proper drainage solutions and compacting the foundation soil.
