"For the very best value in home improvement construction, I recommend Roberts Remodeling because when you hire Robert Remodeling you get much more than just a contractor; from Planning to Design, to Supplier Negotiations, to Over Seeing Every Detail of the project, Robert delivers VALUE!! His experience, his special ability to recognize great design and complete difficult projects makes him the best choice! I chose Robert for my condo in Long Beach 13 years ago, and then this year 2020 he remodeled my new old home in Island Park with the same high quality, dedication, and skill! No reason to hire anyone else!!! My experience with Robert is not unique, I have referred him to many neighbors, friends, and relatives and they all have the same experience and reaction - they all loved the workmanship and VALUE!!!"

"They replaced my bathtub, installed a new vanity, put in new lights and painted a wall cabinet. Not only were they punctual, but very polite and reasonable. I highly recommend them and will use them in the future."

"We hired Al to do some custom frame molding on a rather large wall in our living room. We knew what we wanted but weren't sure of the execution due to a ductless AC system that needed to be incorporated into the design. Al, Nick and Franco worked together to customize a design that fits perfectly into the space and has simply transformed the look of our living room. As for the quality of the work, the three men worked as a team and produced first-rate finish carpentry work. They showed up on time, were polite and genial, and answered any questions we had with patience and knowledge. Since we realized had stumbled upon a gem of a company, we asked if, while they were here, they could do a few other small jobs that needed tackling, involving electrical, lighting and spackling work, if it was in their range of expertise. Al and Nick assured us it was no problem, and those other, smaller jobs, were done with the same expertise and professionalism that the original job produced. We cannot give them higher praise. Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

The designs are different enough that a conversion would mean more or less fully replacing cabinets to switch between the two. However, if you really like the frameless look but you have face frame cabinets, you may be able to mimic the style by replacing your cabinet doors with full overlay ones.

A medicine cabinet on its own won’t add a lot of value, but is in general considered to be a good feature to have. Since any added storage is desirable, a medicine cabinet can improve resale value some. Making your bathroom more functional is appealing to buyers if you’re looking to sell your home.

While having an assistant to help ensure safety and to lend a hand is desirable, if someone isn't around to assist, you can install kitchen cabinets on your own. Normal kitchen cabinet installation starts with the upper wall cabinets. If you're working on your own, consider installing the bases first and building a temporary support structure on top of them to help you install the uppers.

Solid wood is the most common material for cabinet bases. It’s a popular choice because it’s durable and will hold up over time. Oak, maple, cherry, hickory, and pine are all types of solid wood that can be used to build cabinet bases. Other options include plywood, medium-density fiberboard, and other types of manufactured lumber, but they need to be sealed properly to avoid swelling, separating, and delamination from moisture.

Using a shim or another type of self-leveling feet on the bottom edge of your cabinet bases will help to level them out if you’re installing them on a less-than-level surface. To make this process easier, you can add your shims before attaching the bases to your cabinets while they’re still light and easy to move around.
