George, Jess and Austin helped install the water control system - they did phenomenal work, and it was all wrapped up in three days. "I hired Highlander to install a channel drain in front of garage to keep it from getting water in it. The guy showed up with his 16 year old son and dug the trench and laid the pipe very shallowly and left a large open hole in front of my driveway, that was one issue. The second issue was there was no slope to to the pipe. It is straight so the water is not actually draining. The third issue was they cemented the grates onto the the channel drain when they are supposed to be removable so you can clean it. They did correct that and the hole near the driveway they patched with stone, but it is still not pitched properly and the concrete was cracking almost immediately after drying, I asked for the salesman to come back and look at it and asked him if it looked professional, because it didn?t to me or my stepfather who does concrete for a living, and his response was that it did. Well, less than an a year and grates are popping up because the concrete is completely cracked."

"About to come up on the one year anniversary of signing a contract with AE and they have still not completed their work nor have they returned all of my money. To date, they still have over $8K of my money which should be sitting in my savings account earning interest instead of paying their bills. I want to make it clear that the staff who works for them, namely Sal, is wonderful and is a great worker/contractor in his own right. When Sal comes to the property he is professional, courteous, hard working, and very timely. I cannot stress this enough. The two owners of this business, on the other had, have done nothing but disappoint us. So many empty promises, over-promising and under-delivering, 3 bounced checks, recently missed appointment for the last phase of our project, and 3 or more unanswered messages to confirm and then to ask why they didn't show and when to expect our money that has been promised since JANUARY! Josh is such a nice guy and I hate to write this review and update but a business person he is not. I wish him and his wife all the best but could never use them again."

"I put a lot of time into my decision of who would waterproof my crawlspace. I had multiple companies come and give estimates. At the end highlander had their best price and a guarantee. Going in I felt confident in my decision. But once the work was done all of the good feelings were gone. From constant miscommunications between sales, workers and bosses. The original work didn’t even fit the original plan. The backyard being more dry as a “result of the pump” never came to fruition. After round 1 of the work all they managed to do was flood the front of my home and make a waterfall in my crawlspace. Round two they fixed the discharge, but when I was told in the estimate that the high end of my home wouldn’t accumulate water because the pump in the low point would collect it and discharge it first. Asked salesman what if it doesn’t he eased my mind by saying “that’s what the warrant is for we would cover it” fast forward to second rainfall after work was corrected and boom standing water everywhere in high end of crawlspace. Then told by the boss they won’t touch it without charging more since not covered by warranty and given salesman stated they don’t charge extra no matter what they find. Turns out the 8600 dollar investment I made was a complete waste and now I’m left with a crawlspace that still floods and if I want it repaired by them it’s another 6000 dollars. But why would I trust a place I’ve already had comeback twice. I wish I could rewind a month and pick one of the other companies, I won’t name any so no one thinks this review is an ad for someone else. My advice is stay away from highlander and don’t trust what they say unless it’s in writing. Now I almost feel trapped as if they have to finish the work but I have little confidence they wouldn’t be out again after the next rain. Only positives are they respond timely and are polite while describing how you were basically deceived. Worst investment I’ve ever made."
