I am someone who is trying to start a business. I’ve been in and around the construction industry for 20+ years, mainly doing commercial residential construction. I want to build something of my own where I feel my work can be noticed. I travel anywhere within the greater Rochester region. I look forward to meeting with you. Thank you

Small jobs welcome

Hi my name is Nicholas Roof. I have work for my dad doing construction for his company for 15+ years. My dad recently had to move to Kentucky to take care of my grandmother. So he said it is time for me to have my own business and he helped me open my own business Mountain Movers Construction. I am very good at doing decks, roofing, framing, drywall, painting, gutters, putting trim up or anything to do with working on a house. My main goal is to have the customer love the job so they want me to work for them more. I also just wanna take care of my family. So please choose mountain construction and let us move mountains for you!

"I hired Jack Of All Trades to install floor joices and lay down plywood. They did a good job and the building inspector was happy as well. I also had them frame some walls. I plan on having them come back to roof my addition. Reasonably priced and had a good attitude throughout."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

You can find a leak in an in-ground pool by doing a visual check, the bucket test, and a dye test. Keep in mind that skimmers are usually the culprit for in-ground pool leaks. However, if you cannot detect the leak location after running the tests, it’s a good idea to call in a professional pool repair service.

Pool leaks most commonly occur at joints or where different materials meet. The most frequent leak spots include:

  • The Pool Skimmer: Where the plastic skimmer meets the pool's liner or shell.

  • The Pool Liner: Tears can develop in vinyl liners, especially those between 5 and 20 years old. Leaks also occur around the liner's edge.

  • Fittings and Accessories: Areas around return lines, the main drain, and pool lights are common culprits.

  • Pool Equipment: The pump, filter, and filter housing can also leak.

While leaks in underground pipes are less common, they can be costly to fix. It's usually best to check the more common spots before investigating the plumbing system.

Round and freeform pools are popular choices for a small backyard, although a small yard may be able to accommodate a variety of shapes. When planning a pool for your small yard, remember to take into account pool deck space, fencing requirements, and other pool-related factors that may limit your choices.

An easy way to know whether your sand filter has enough sand is to check how full the filter is and what the sand looks and feels like. The filter container should be two-thirds to three-quarters full of sand. Look for interior marks indicating the ideal sand level. If you put your hand into the sand, it should flow through your fingers without clumping. The filter pressure gauge is also an easy indicator—the right amount of sand leads to normal pressure, while too much or too little sand can cause high or low pressure.

The depth of your pool depends on its intended use, the size of your lawn, and whether you opt for an in-ground or aboveground pool. Aboveground pools tend to be between four and six feet deep while in-ground pools range anywhere from three to eight feet. Permanent installations also have the option of shallow and deep ends.
