The job took longer than estimated. This could have been a problem if I didn't have storm windows. Quality of the workmanship was OK. If I wasn't concerned about breaking the expensive glass, I would have done it better myself.

The people at Ray Sands worked initially with me and then worked directly with my insurance company for approval and payment. The process couldn't have been easier.

It was very good.  I think they do a good job which they did.  They said they will come at a certain time and they did.  It was well done.

I hired Ray Sands to replace the glass in two bedroom windows that had broken seals. Joe, a company installer, came to my house to measure and provide an estimate approximately two weeks prior to installation. Joe was on time, polite and very pleasant. He even insisted on taking his shoes off  before he walked through my house. The estimate he provided was very reasonable. Since the windows weren't large, he told me they could be made in the company's store.  Having the windows made on site saved time. Since I was about to list my house, I wanted the windows installed as soon as possible.
Approximately two weeks later, I was scheduled for installation between 2 and 5 P.M.  The week between ordering the windows and the scheduled installation, I sold my house. The buyer's inspection was scheduled at the same time as the installation. I called the office, spoke with Brendan,  and asked if my appointment could be switched with a morning appointment due to the inspection. Without hesitating, he accommodated my request.
Joe arrived a little after nine to install the windows. Since it was rainy and a little muddy, he again removed his shoes . He removed and installed the glass in the driveway. One glass needed to be shaved down. Rather than just use the electric in my garage, Joe is so polite he first asked if he could use it.  Joe was in and out of my house four times, removing his shoes each time he entered. Joe also cleaned up any mess he may have made in my driveway. As a representative of Ray Sands Glass, Joe is definitely an asset to the company.
This is the second time I've used Ray Sands Glass, and if I wasn't leaving the area, I would not hesitate to hire this company again.

My windshield was broken over a weekend by a stray basketball. Ray Sands has a weekend answering service that took my information and got it to them first thing Monday morning (this was not an emergency--my windshield had a 2 foot crack and needed replacing, but the car was quite driveable.) The staff were extremely helpful. Initially it took a day to get my weekend message answered--I got a call back on Monday, but missed it, and got no answer to my return message. When I called again Tuesday morning, though, I got a call back right away, an apology, and an appointment for Wednesday. After that I had no complaints at all. My car was ready earlier than promised, and when I noticed a noise as I started to drive away, a mechanic came out immediately to investigate. It turned out to be my rear brake--nothing to do with the windshield repair, but that didn't stop him from getting down on the pavement to listen and try to help. All my questions were answered, I was treated very well, and Ray Sands took care of all the insurance details, even setting up a conference call with a claims processor. I couldn't have been more pleased. I can't speak to the cost of the repair because I never saw a bill. Ray Sands billed my insurance directly and I have full glass coverage, so I paid nothing.

When vandals broke our window, we called two glass companies for estimates but Ray Sands immediately distinguished themselves.  They were very friendly and responsive on the phone, then promptly visited our house and quoted us a price, along with a projected timeline for installation.  All three people we dealt with (Sales, Billing and installation) were helpful, courteous and professional.  They followed up proactively and did everything as promised.  The workmanship was perfect and the mechanic was friendly, tidy and competent in all respects.

I heard of Ray Sands through a friend and had them check out my picture window that needed replacing. I initially thought my entire picture window needed replacing at the cost of at least $2000. I learned that the double glass pane was leaking and it was as though I had a single pane window instead of the efficient double pane glass. They came out and gave me an estimate which was what I expected to pay. They explained it would take 2-3 weeks for the window to come in. I rec'd a call the window came in and a time was set for installation. It was a very cold winter day and I expected to be exposed to the elements for over an hour or so. Shawn who was installing my window only had the window out for about 15-20 mins tops. Shawn was very polite and professional and was quick.
Overall it did take 2 hrs (what they told me it would take ahead of time) and I couldn't be more pleased.

The only problem was that the office person didn't communicate to the team the right part to bring so we had to wait for a new one and that caused a delay and some inconvenience

A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. A real surprise from a company with the

outstanding reputation enjoyed by Ray Sands Glass. As noted above, I contracted with Ray Sands

for repair of two items. I chose them not because of price (they were not the

least expensive) but because they professed the most positive attitude

regarding the replacement of our patio table top. Here’s how it went:

1. PATIO DOOR GLASS: It took three

trips to do this right. Measurements were “estimated” on the first trip,

i.e., instead of removing the trim and actually measuring the glass to be

replaced, they took a guess as to the correct size of the glass needed. When

they returned, it turned out that the estimate was wrong and they had to return

to the shop to make another attempt. When installing the final cut, the wood

trim on the door was splintered in one area and most of the finish nails were

not set properly.

2. PATIO TABLE TOP: It is this experience that leads to my greatest displeasure with

Ray Sands Glass. When we ordered the top we explicitly said we did NOT want an

umbrella hole in the center of the table top. When they finally returned with

the table, not only had they cut a hole in the top, but it appears they’d never

heard of a hole saw. The hole was apparently cut by drilling a series of and frac14;-inch

holes in a circular pattern using the table frame as a template. In the process

they chewed up the table frame. A very amateurish job. We did of course

protest and they offered a $50.00 credit. We accepted this credit, but remain

unhappy.

All went splendidly. The crew called before they arrived. They were friendly and totally professional and did their work and were on their way. Windshield replacement took about 20 minutes. Instructions on care were explained clearly.

The job they did was good... when they did get around to doing it. the only frustration is that we booked them to come do the repair but they were not able to do the repair, because they didnt have the and quot;rightand quot; parts. they had to come back at a later time.
the job they did was very good, though.

I removed the window - took it to them for measurement - returned home with the window and put it back in the frame. A week later they called and said the new glass had arrived. I removed the window a 2nd time and took it to them. I dropped it off at 10 and they said it would be ready by noon. They have a waiting room, but I ran errands instead and returned at noon. The window was done, not a mark on the wood. Looks like new.

Next time (I hope there isn't one) I'll pay the extra $30 for them to come to the house.
