"Ali came over to our home when we called with a concern of the air flow in our central air conditioning system. He checked the return, the air flow, the temperature at all of the vents, and the entire system. It had more to do with the age of the system and gave us suggestions on how a different filter could increase the air flow. He did all of this and refused to take any money for his time. He is a true honest professional and someone that we would recommend to everyone."

"I recently hired AC Air Duct Cleaning for a thorough cleaning of my air ducts, and I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received. From the initial consultation to the completion of the job, their team was professional, courteous, and highly knowledgeable. They arrived on time and took the time to explain the entire process, addressing all my concerns. The technicians were efficient and worked diligently to ensure that every corner of my duct system was cleaned. I noticed a significant improvement in my home's air quality immediately after the service. What impressed me most was their commitment to customer satisfaction. They followed up after the service to ensure I was happy with the results, which truly shows they care about their clients. highly recommended!"

"Mark and Serge were prompt, professional, and performed quality service. We were away when there was a problem with our AC units and they were able to work with our house sitters--and me remotely--to quickly get the AC up and running again as well as alerting us to an issue with our Nest thermostat. Panda is our go-to service for all our HVAC needs."

"Excellent.
Very professional and honest business.
Howard cleaned 2 separate air conditioning zones and also the dryer vent.
He returned about a month later when we had an unrelated air conditioning issue and helped us out at no charge.
Would very highly recommend.

Small jobs welcome

"I was looking to add a mini split ductless system to my home, to eliminate the 3 noisy non energy efficient window units we had. I had appointments with two contractors, who told me... they would do a good job and to expect an estimate in a few days. I never received the estimates, so I decided to reach out to each contractor and was once again advised to expect an estimate soon. Unfortunately, I never received the estimates. When Home Advisor contacted me, I was clearly reluctant and didn't really want to meet with another contractor. The rep then provided me with the information for Wise Air Mechanical Inc. I received a call within 2 hours and set up a visit with Kalif a bit later that day. Within three days I received the estimate for the job, and within a week, Kalif and his colleague began the installation. Four days later the job was completed, and I now had four indoor zones working with one 45,000 BTU outdoor condenser. I'm now enjoying cool indoor temperatures without the noise aspect from the window units. Kalif and his colleague did a really good job and were professionals every step of the way. They wore face masks while working inside the home and cleaned up after the job was completed. I'm really happy with my new ductless units."

"I had the equipment replaced, a brand new, super high efficiency, fancy, lovely stuff. It's a central air system, and it's Lennox equipment. It's high efficiency. You can get it for less than that, but you're not gonna get the high efficiency quiet and all that kind of stuff. I had received other quotes which were like more money for the same system. I have been using them since 1986. No complaints. They do their thing, and I can't fault them. I have a service contract with them for this."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

If your whole house is cold that’s one thing, but what if you only have a few rooms that are cold? First, you need to determine why this may be happening. A good place to start is to investigate the potential causes listed in this article—heat transfer, airflow, thermostat problems, humidity, and insulation. Once you’ve narrowed down the issue, you’d apply the same principles to the cold rooms as you would to the entire home.

Excessive humidity in a room often manifests through visible signs like condensation on windows or walls, a musty or damp odor lingering in the air, peeling wallpaper or paint, and the presence of mold or mildew. Experiencing discomfort due to a consistently clammy or sticky feeling can also indicate high humidity levels.

You can run an HRV with air conditioning—assuming that you decide to keep the system on during the summer. The HRV will continue to bring in fresh outdoor air, which will then flow into your AC unit and cool down your home. It will also keep moving the stuffy indoor air out of your house.

Yes, you can potentially save $60 to $200 by handling your own air conditioner capacitor installation. However, capacitor replacement comes with the risk of electric shock. Only attempt this if you have the knowledge and protective gear to carry it out safely. Otherwise, we recommend hiring an HVAC pro with the experience to properly diagnose the issue and avoid damaging other parts of your AC unit.

Keeping your air filter clean is crucial for your heat pump's efficiency. As a general rule, you should check your air filter every 1 to 3 months. However, the actual frequency might vary depending on factors like the type of filter, indoor air quality, and the amount of dust and debris in your area. If you notice the filter is visibly dirty or clogged, it's a clear sign it needs attention sooner. Regular filter maintenance ensures proper airflow and helps your heat pump perform optimally, keeping your indoor air fresh and comfortable.
