He was very helpful on explaining, things, going over and answering all my questions. I had him do all my soffit work, painted my house also. I then had him do a deck for me. He’s a hard dedicated worker, and does remarkable work! I have more work for him next summer. I would highly recommend him, if you want good quality work done. I have tried uploading some pics, of anll the work I had done, unfortunately it would not work. "

Yes, any parts of drywall that are wet or overly moist will need to be replaced. Drywall is intended to be dry (it’s in the name, after all.), as excess moisture can lead to mold and mildew and eventually corrode your home’s foundational building pieces. Yes, it matters which side of drywall you use. One side is smooth, and the other is rough.
