"I had a gas leak and Con Edison shut off my gas back in November, which is obviously not something you want to deal with. Paul from LiquidTech Plumbing came out right away, found the problem, and fixed it quickly. He was professional, easy to communicate with, and just a genuinely nice guy to deal with during a stressful situation. His pricing was reasonable, he’s fully licensed, and everything was handled the right way. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Paul to anyone who needs gas or plumbing work done."

Customers say: Quality work

"Absolutely professionals!! I could not be happier with Angelo and Tina's work on my gas pipe issue. The gas company had turned off my gas because they wanted me to relocate both my meters to outside the house. Tina pulled the permit the next day and then Angelo came the day after and finished the work that same day! The rest was just paperwork and back and forth with the gas company which Hydraulics took care of every step of the way. These guys are knowledgeable, efficient, and such amazing work ethic. At one point both of them were under the weather but still managed to get the work done asap. True professionals! You can not go wrong with them!!"

"Eno and Adrian are real experts. They came to my house, looked at my furnace, explained what was needed and gave me a total price composed of labor and materials. They completed the work (replacing a gas boiler and burner and removing the oil tank) in two days. Very professional, very fast. Great guys!"

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

No. Placing a built-in grill against the house is discouraged due to safety concerns. Building codes and regulations often require a minimum distance (typically 10 feet or more) between a gas grill and any combustible structure, including a house. Placing a grill too close poses a fire hazard and risks damage to the siding or structure, potentially leading to carbon monoxide buildup. It's essential to consult local building codes, follow manufacturer guidelines, and prioritize safety by positioning the grill at a safe distance, ideally in a well-ventilated outdoor kitchen or designated grill area.

Built-in gas grills typically have a life span of 10 to 15 years. However, their longevity can vary based on quality, usage frequency, climate conditions, and maintenance routines. High-quality models made from durable materials tend to last longer. Additionally, regular cleaning, covering the grill when not in use, and conducting routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning burners and replacing worn-out parts can extend its life. A well-maintained built-in gas grill can provide excellent performance and memorable cooking experiences for a decade or more, making it a worthwhile investment for outdoor cooking enthusiasts.

A few potential problems can cause your gas grill to stop working:

  • Burners aren’t properly aligned.

  • Food debris is clogging the burners.

  • Hose connections may be blocked.

  • Burners may not be getting enough gas.

  • Gas valve is not working properly.

If you’re experiencing any of those problems with your gas grill, hire a local grill repair professional to inspect your grill for issues and implement a plan to resolve them.

Yes, most states require a plumber to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. Check our state licensing tool to review the local plumber guidelines.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification, which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

While it’s possible to repair minor grill issues like replacing a burner, more serious issues are clear indicators that you need to replace the entire unit. A few signs that your gas grill may be at the end of its life span and it’s time to consider replacing it include:

  • Rusty or cracked firebox

  • Weak, yellow, or uneven flames

  • Flaking, cracking grates

  • Leaking or cracked propane hoses

  • Failing igniter

  • Heavy buildup of grease
