"Technician was very knowledgeable and honest. He cleaned my dryer duct and pinpointed the problem. It was my dryer not my vent/ducts. I highly recommend them, ask for Nick! They also clean chimneys."

"Had a very good experience with this company. Although I hired them just to clean out my dryer vent they showed me how it was originally improperly and dangerously installed. I decided to go ahead and let them install it the correct way. Although it cost more than just cleaning out the dryer vent I know that it will made such a difference with the correct installation they performed. It was difficult to do and they worked for six hours until they got it right. I feel confident that they did a great job and safe that my dryer is not going to go on fire from inproper venting."

"I booked the cleaning mainly to help out my parents since they’re getting older and it’s becoming harder for them to keep up with everything around the house. They came in and did a really thorough cleaning of the kitchen, bathroom and common areas, including wiping everything down, dusting, vacuuming and mopping. They also helped straighten up some of the clutter that had built up over time in my w closet. Everything looked and smelled fresh when they were finished, and my parents were happy with how the house came out. It definitely took a lot off of them, especially with the heavier cleaning they can’t really do as much anymore. I’d use their service again."

Dryer Vent Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Regularly check and clean the lint screen, inspect vent connections, and ensure proper airflow to maintain clear vents and reduce blockages or buildup.

The ideal time for dryer vent cleaning is typically during the spring or fall. These seasons offer moderate weather conditions, making it easier to access the exterior vent and work on the dryer without the extreme heat of summer or cold of winter. However, the timing can also depend on your usage patterns. If you use your dryer heavily year-round, consider scheduling cleanings more frequently, perhaps every six months, to prevent lint buildup and reduce fire risks. Ultimately, there is no wrong time of year to prioritize safety.

Professionals use specialized tools to clean dryer vents effectively. These tools typically include a combination of flexible rods and brushes designed to navigate the vent's twists and turns. The brushes dislodge and loosen lint and debris, while the rods help extend the reach through the vent. High-powered vacuums with HEPA filters are also used to capture and remove the dislodged lint and particles, ensuring a thorough cleaning. In some cases, professionals may employ video inspection cameras to assess the condition of the vent and confirm that it's entirely clean.

Yes, professionals clean ducts and exhaust fans to ensure complete system efficiency and compliance with safety codes.

The frequency of cleaning your dryer depends on how often you use it. For regular households, it is recommended to clean the lint trap after each load of laundry. Additionally, thorough cleaning of the dryer—lint trap, drum, and exterior—should be done every few months. It's important to pay attention to the vent system as well. Ideally, it should be cleaned at least once a year, or six months if your dryer takes care of huge loads often, or more frequently if you notice reduced drying efficiency.
