"The electrician was right on time as scheduled. Looked at the project to be done, measured and went to the store to get the correct exhaust fan. All in all the whole project took 2 1/2 hours and was reasonably priced. The installation was messy from blown in insulation but he protected the whole bathroom with plastic. The only thing negative was that I had to fish out 2 switch plate screws out of the garage and screw them in myself and there are still a few small pieces of insulation under the light cover of the fan. Over all the job was well done."

"I put a request out for a plumber to help install a dishwasher on the Home Advisor app and Don from H & N called me right away. He came and got the job done the same day at a reasonable price. He was very efficient and professional and I definitely recommend this company."

"This company was very responsive and easy to get a hold of someone. Cheyenne in the office was very friendly and helpful. Dan came out for the quote. He was very thorough in explaining the products and services they offered. Scheduling was about 3 months out but the company came out and did repairs free of charge in the meantime. Zach was the foreman of the crew installing the roof. They did an excellent job and left the property in better condition than they found it. From start to finish, everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional. The price was competitive with other quotes I got."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

The direction you want your ceiling fan to move in depends on the season you’re in. During summer, you want it to move counterclockwise to produce a cooling downdraft. During winter, you want it to move clockwise to circulate warm air throughout the room.

Some disadvantages of a blower cooler—a type of cooling device sometimes known as a swamp cooler—are its increased energy demand and its higher noise level. Blowers require more energy to run because they push air out at a higher pressure. This also means a blower cooler can be louder than a fan. Blower coolers are also not recommended for humid areas because humidity limits their cooling potential.

Blower fans are better for preventing mold growth than dehumidifiers because they target the damaged areas and increase the rate of evaporation, which dries out the building materials. Ideally, you should run blower fans and a dehumidifier, as this will allow the fans to move dry air over your damaged building materials, drying out the space even more quickly.

When choosing a mounting bracket, you have the option between flush mounts and downrod mounts. Flush mounts are the better option for low ceilings as they feature a lower profile. Downrod mounts are the optimal choice for rooms with high ceilings as they offer a pole that adjusts the height of the fan.

If you think your fan needs to be oiled, the first thing that you have to do is cut the power to the fan. The best and safest way to do this is by flipping the circuit breaker that leads to that room.  Depending on the model of your fan, you may need to remove a cover. Look for a hole labeled oil. If there isn't one, check the manual or look for schematics online. Once located, use the recommended lubricant or spray.
