"I called best carpet to get my carpets done and i live in a fairly large home so i was hoping the prices wouldnt be too high as i called a couple businesses a few days prior and was shocked at how much they were charging. To my surprise the price of my carpets being done and also my main living room white couch cleaned, was cheaper then the other places to do just my carpets. So i booked with them immediately. They were 3 minutes early and i was very thankful for the punctuality, it took about 3 hours to be done and i just went and did some shopping in glens falls and when i came back i was so thrilled to see hoe wonderful everything looked. 10/10 for everything they did and i will be recommending to a friend!"

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Baking soda is a fantastic neutralizing agent for removing pet odors. It’s also safe to use around pets and kids, which is why many homeowners choose it. Let it sit overnight then vacuum the baking soda out of the carpet in the morning. Repeat the process if odors persist.

Yes, some carpet stains can be permanent. Stains that have been sitting for a long time (weeks, months, or years) are much harder to remove because they have had time to dry and set. Other types that may be permanent include oil-based stains and dye stains. While some cleaners can help, they can also risk dyeing or permanently changing the carpet's color. If you have an old stain and are unsure of the cause, it's best to call a carpet cleaning professional. If DIY methods and professional cleaning fail, you may need to replace that section of carpet or learn to live with the stain.

You can use rug shampoo on an oriental rug, but you need to make sure you use a natural, non-abrasive shampoo. While other carpets made from synthetic fiber can stand up to harsh chemicals, the natural material—sheep’s wool, cotton, silk, or camel hair—that goes into an oriental rug will break down and get damaged if they come in contact with traditional rug shampoos. In many cases, it’s best to let a professional assess your carpet and determine which gentle shampoo would be most appropriate.

Yes, it’s best to wash all linens, pet items, curtains, rugs, clothing, and cushion covers to remove any excess residue that could cause harm. The pesticides from flea bombs can often linger on surfaces or fabrics, which is why washing all items is best for the health of you and your loved ones.

Professional carpet cleaners may use steamers or a dry cleaning method for your Berber carpet. A cleaning company will use a commercial-grade steamer, which is more powerful and takes a fraction of the time to use as the steamer you may have at home. The steam draws out all the dirt and stains to help your carpet look new again.

Alternatively, the cleaners may use a dry cleaning method. This is when chemicals are applied to the carpet to help draw out the dirt and stains. Afterward, they use a high-powered vacuum to suck up all the debris.
