Customers say: Quick response

"Marc. Lombardi and his crew did an excellent , excellent job installing footing foundation , water proofing (french drain) around my house and leveled my backyard lawn (incl seeds & fertilizer) for 1 1/2 days. He was very professional ( helpful with questions) & well mannered. His service was beyond my expectation - I am completely satisfied and will hire him again if needed. If someone is looking for this kind of project, he is the best and highly recommended. Thank you Marc for such good quality of work."

"I called Alonzo he came right away gave me an estimate to dig remove and replace all old foundation footer drains. His crew worked hard to get the job done all very respectful I have no more leaks or drainage issues thanks to him and his team. I also recommended him to all my neighbors for any of their future jobs. He also replaced all my downspout gutters to 4inch and also did an excellent job!!!!!!!"

"Dean, the owner of Dirty Deeds, is a true professional. From a by-gone era, he is a man who cares about his customers problems
and takes pride in solving them to everyone's satisfaction.

Dirty Deeds was at the low end of the estimates we received for installing a French drain in our basement. Dean was
"hands-on" during the entire process, working along with his crew to both install the system and clean-up afterwards.
He personally returned at least twice to check that everything was working properly.

Without hesitation I can recommend that anyone looking to "fix" their water leakage and wet basement problems, call Dirty Deeds as the first step towards a successful resolutioin of their problems.

"Kelvin was great. We are visiting our son and family and he had a faucet that hasn't work for a while. I decided to get it fixed (mom mode set in). I went to Angie's and he immediately texted me, I gave him info on what was to be done, he gave me a price, and said he could be here in 45 min. I asked for his insurance certificate, which he immediately sent over. He was here within the 45 min., did the work quickly and efficiently. I was very impressed, and would highly recommend him ."

"CT Basement systems did a wonderful job on the walls that were flood damaged. Their overall system is great. We didn't need the total renovation but if we did, we would certainly have had them do it. After researching others, this was the best."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

The first rule of plumbing is nothing but water, toilet paper, number one, and number two go down the drain.

To prevent clogs, get yourself:

  • A compast pail where you can clean plates, drain grease, and toss scraps and paper towels.

  • Drain screens for the shower, tub, and bathroom sink to stop hair, jewelry, toys, etc. from going down the drain.

  • Trash cans for everything that shouldn’t go down the drain, like dental floss, hygiene products, and cat litter.

P.S.: If you do drop your priceless ring down the drain, take a deep breath, and then follow these steps to retrieve jewelry from your drain.

Anything from debris, rust, ice, and even poor installation can cause clogs in your plumbing vents. Some signs of a clog include slow drains, gurgling sounds in drains and toilets, and bad odors. The bad odors are the most concerning, as these can include methane and hydrogen sulfide. Contact a plumber to come take a look if you notice any of these signs.

No. You should never pour old paint down a drain or sewer because it can clog pipes and pollute the environment. You must dispose of paint properly and safely. Different types of paint need to be disposed of in different ways—oil-based paints must be taken to a paint recycling center, while you can throw dried-out water- or latex-based paints in the garbage.

In some cases, operating a snake can damage your drain and pipes. This depends on the overall condition of your pipes and how gently you operate the auger. For instance, older galvanized pipes covered in zinc are susceptible to scratches when using a drain snake. Additionally, it’s common for newbies to apply too much force when extending the snake, leading to scratches and related damage. You can also crack the porcelain with an electric auger if you’re snaking a toilet drain. If you’re using a manual snake or auger, the risk is minimal.

First, find the cleanout pipe in your yard. Unscrew the cap—you may need a wrench to do so. Then, get a drain snake. You can use a non-motorized one, but a motorized snake will make the job a little easier. Feed the snake through the pipe until it reaches the clog. Spin the snake continuously, but don’t try to feed it through the pipe anymore. Keep spinning until you feel it break the clog apart.
