"THE MOST RELIABLE, DEDICATED, CREATIVE, PROFESSIONAL PAINTERS!!! Not only is Angel and his crew extremely talented, they are so dedicated. They give it their all. I can't say enough good things about magic improvements. the guys were prompt, kind, neat and did an excellent job. I had a large room painted, with multi colors and very difficult techniques. They were able to brainstorm and come up with a brilliant, master plan on how to achieve the look I desperately wanted . They give Top notch service with phenomenal results!! "Moises and his crew repaired water rotted wood in difficult locations and completely finished the garage to every detail from insulation to molding, as shown in pictures here. They thought of every detail that shows their pride over their work. Not only is their work top notch, but they are also easy to work with and very communicative through the whole process. I have already hired them for a second job."

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

In most states, handypeople do not need to be licensed to perform simple home repair tasks and smaller jobs. When projects exceed specific cost amounts, however, ranging from $500 in California to $50,000 in other states, some municipalities consider them to be contractors, meaning they need to be licensed. To learn if your handyperson should be licensed to work on your job, contact your local governing body or state contractors’ licensing board before starting any work.

Absolutely, they tailor their approach to address individual requirements, ensuring satisfaction on every visit.

You can find a reliable handyperson by looking at professionals in your area and ruling out companies with poor reviews online. Next, check each handyperson on the Better Business Bureau to see if they have a history of complaints and rule out those that do. Finally, you can contact each handyperson to ask the following qualifying questions:

  • What is your hourly rate?

  • Are there any jobs you can’t tackle?

  • Are you fully insured?

  • How many years of experience do you have?

  • Do you have references I can contact?

From drywall repair to fixture installations, pros address diverse home maintenance needs.

Tipping contractors, builders, or general contractors is not customary or expected. Unlike many service professions where tipping is built into the payment structure, construction professionals typically charge a full rate for their services. However, you may choose to tip a worker for exceptional service, such as if they go above and beyond, stay late to meet a deadline, or work on a holiday weekend. Before offering a tip, it's a good idea to ask about the company's policy, as some prohibit their employees from accepting gratuities. If you want to show your appreciation for a job well done without giving a cash tip, consider writing a positive online review or offering to serve as a reference for potential new customers.
