"Great experience through the estimate and removal process 48 hours ago. Danny, Billy the project managers were complete and professional with several follow-ups to keep me abreast of progress during the permitting and scheduling process. On the removal day, Walker and George were amazing. They had to get the equipment up a slope that started with climbing a 20" stone retaining barrier. miss overhanging tree limbs and work right underneath the power line from the street to my house, Made me nervous for them, but their work in removing residual oil, and the oil tank itself progressed smoothly with no mishaps. I will recommend this company to anyone in need but especially anyone with tight space or difficult terrain."

"We had to have our under ground oil tank removed and an above ground tank installed. New England Environmental Services turned a scary project into something I wish I had done before. They performed all parts of the job with professionalism and in an extremely timely manner. From the initial review and quote process through the excavation of the old tank and installation of the above ground model - everything went smoothly. The placement site and surrounding areas were kept as clean as possible and they left the areas looking undisturbed. They worked with the town to get all the permits and requirements in place to meet our deadlines. They kept my husband and I informed and updated all along the way. And they were always ready to answer questions and give feedback that helped us understand the whole process. I would highly recommend them."

"Frank's crew expanded my driveway footprint, built beautiful stone retaining walls, and finished the job with the best paving work I have seen. A tip of the hat to the crew that was hard working and polite, and who worked through the extremely hot weather of late late August. Best Value out there. Thanks for the great work!"

Customers say: Quick response

"We could not be happier with our choice of Fredy's Contracting Inc. to complete our patio. Within an hour of our call on a Saturday morning, Fredy's son was at our house measuring our patio. Within 48 hours we had a written bid emailed to us. Work started within the 3 week time-frame we had agreed upon. Jose and his crew excavated (most by hand because of the awkward space) and leveled everything in a day. The next day, they worked through a rainstorm and laid the pavers for our gorgeous patio. We are do-it yourself kind of folks, there is no way we could have done this on our own. Top notch work, professional people, and all done in a timely manner. We will be calling them back for our next job! Highly recommended!! Wendy & Jim Moore"

"Tom and his team were excellent to work with. They really guided me throughout the entire process with my project. From the clearing, excavation and grading to the septic installation, they did a spectacular job for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend them and will be using them again."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

Maintain open communication and address issues as they arise, ensuring contract terms cover potential delays.

After you successfully remove your boulder, you have a few options for what to do to get rid of it. You can rent a dumpster if your yard has many boulders or if you’re planning a larger project. You can even save the boulder and reuse it elsewhere on your property to save on landscaping costs. A few ideas include using the boulder as a natural, abstract statue, breaking it into smaller pieces to line your garden bed, or offering it to a landscaping company that could reuse it for another project.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

Your contractor should handle dust control during the project. It's best to speak with your contractor beforehand to check if they plan to cover your furniture, protect your vents, or use fans to redirect dust. Eliminating drywall dust is a particularly large challenge during construction, so always take this into account during your planning phase.

No, fire blight does not survive free in the soil but instead is carried through insects, animals, rain, or wind during the spring. Keep in mind that it can also spread on tools, which is why you should always disinfect them in between cuts.
