Having been a homeowner for over 30 years with multiple homes in different states and many contractor (many battles), I feel qualified to say that these guys are the most conscientious professionals I've ever encountered. Since Mario's pleasant and informative first visit for an estimate to the gorgeous end result, this job progressed seamlessly and even came out under budget. The old-world style of their craftmanship, but in a very timely fashion, was something I wouldn't have believed existed. The impeccable stone and stucco work they did is outstanding. I consider myself a perfectionist but they gave me some serious competition! They even cleaned up after finishing every single day including hosing down our cars in the driveway! On top of all that world-class technical stuff, each and every polite and professional worker was a pleasure to have around (even had a few laughs). Honestly, I have been considered picky (difficult) by contractors in the past but if I tried I couldn't find one bad word to say about Tri-State! "Jeff installed a beautiful fireplace in my home in the summer of 2017. Although he did a great job with the installation, and I'm very happy with my fireplace, I would not recommend using him. He canceled several appointments and refused to work while the other workers were here (plumber to install gas line and electrician to install outlet). His unwillingness to work while they were here almost jeopardized the project because they needed to hear from him directly exactly where the gas line and outlet should go. In addition, I found Jeff difficult to interact with--I'll just leave it at that. Ditto for the secretary/receptionist. I want to emphasize I'm not faulting the work in any way. If you can overlook the "people issues" I've noted above, then you'll be happy with the final product. But I wouldn't go through it again."
