"I called yesterday and they did the work early today. When I called, the woman who arranged the appointment was pleasant and helpful. The workers who came were friendly and careful when removing the items. I did one other cost-estimate comparison and the price for this service seemed very fair! I would definitely hire them again because the whole process was very quick and easy!"

"It was so much easier than getting a dumpster. I paid less money than if I had gotten a dumpster because a dumpster charges by weight and since it snowed and rained, everything in the bag was wet - I would have paid a fortune!!! With the bullbag, I paid one set price and the cool part: I got the bag back to refill again and again. This company also recycles most of what is collected so less ends up in a landfill.
No better business bureau complaints.
One set price to empty.
I get to reuse the bag over and over."

"It's so big that they would have to dismantle it onsite and probably use a torch to cut through the iron and the frame. I figured it wouldn't be that expensive. They quoted me $400 to take it away. I might still do it. I thought it was a pretty decent estimate but I just decided not to go ahead and do it right now. I might do it in the future though. Two guys came in and they were thinking that they would be able to haul it out that morning, the morning of the appointment. When they saw what they were facing, the fact that the sofa itself was so large and they would have to squeeze it between some other furnishings in the basement, instead they're going to have to cut it up onsite and remove it piece by piece. That could be much more complicated a job than everyone thought it would be, including myself. They did give me the estimate on the same day that they came. They did come right away. They had two guys that were really ready to do the job. They kept the appointment. They were excellent service folks. It was just that the job was too complicated. The sofa is 96 inches or something. It is not a small job."

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

Never put glass in the garbage disposal. It can damage your disposal or eject shards of glass out of the disposal and cause injury. If you get broken glass in your garbage disposal, turn it off and cut the power from the breaker, use a tool like pliers or tongs to remove the glass, and use a wet-dry vacuum to remove the remaining glass pieces. If you can’t access the disposal safely, call a garbage disposal repair pro.

While the drain connection for a garbage disposal is nearly universal and fits standard sink drain holes of 3 1/2 to 4 inches, the size of the disposal unit itself is not. You must have enough space in the cabinet underneath your sink to accommodate the disposal's housing. A larger model may not fit in a compact cabinet or if the existing plumbing is arranged in an unusual way. Before buying a new garbage disposal, measure the available space under your sink. If you are replacing an old unit, it's often easiest to choose a new model of a similar size.

No, you do not need a garbage disposal to have a dishwasher. A dishwasher will work without one, and while it's rare to see a home with a dishwasher that doesn't have a disposal, it is possible. The two appliances pair well and are often installed together because a disposal simplifies meal cleanup.

However, your dishwasher should not be used as a replacement for a garbage disposal. Subjecting it to continuous food leftovers can lead to major clogs. If you choose not to install a garbage disposal, you should thoroughly rinse your plates or scrape excess food into the trash or a compost pile before loading them into the dishwasher to prevent plumbing issues.

It’s one thing that helps, alongside vinegar and baking soda. Ice acts as an exfoliant, helping to lift off any bits of food stuck on the disposal blades.

These appliances certainly increase the number of things allowed down the drain, but they’re not foolproof. There are several items you shouldn’t put in your garbage disposal, according to manufacturers and technicians. Don’t put coffee grounds down the drain. The same goes for eggshells, potato peels, hard foods, onion skins, and any dry, expandable food. Most importantly, never put grease or oils down the drain.
