I can't say enough good things about magic improvements. the guys were prompt, kind, neat and did an excellent job. I had a large room painted, with multi colors and very difficult techniques. Small jobs welcome

"Dave has been really terrific to work with and I highly recommend him! He truly cares about his customers and takes a consultative approach. Dave did great work on our front deck and after sanding and staining, it looks brand new! My wife and I appreciate this detail oriented approach and he provides quality services at a more affordable price than most. He also is very honest and genuine and has a good network of quality, trusted folks to provide services like Electrical outside his scope of work. We still have some work to do on our home which he is helping with, and are looking forward to continued quality from working with Dave."

Customers say: True professional

"I had a great experience they are honest, reliable, the work is done in a timely matter, they are friendly. Alfonso is the first person I delt with he came to my home to fix my stackable washer dryer of course the problem didn't occur when he was here, so he had to go by what I told him. That night I text him and said it didn't work, he said immediately it was the other problem and that it would be expensive to fix so he went out of his way to help me find a new one in my price range. I will never forget his kindness. We found another washer and dryer and Bob (very nice) was able to come the next day and hook it all up after taken out the broken one. I now have a washer and dryer that works fantastic thanks to them both. Anything that needs to be done iBurke service is who I will call. Thank you Alfonso and Bob I appreciate everything you did for us."

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

Whether or not you’re moving the hookups or simply replacing your current units, you should hire a qualified appliance pro to install your new washer and dryer.

The cost to hire a handyman can vary, with most charging on a per-hour or per-project basis. On average, expect to pay between $50 and $150 per hour, with a typical rate around $90 per hour. For project-based work, the average cost is about $400, though the total can range from as low as $180 to $1,500 or more. Some handypeople may also require a minimum flat rate, such as payment for two hours of work.

Several factors influence the final cost, including:

  • The type, size, difficulty, and complexity of the job

  • The amount of time the work takes

  • The handyman's experience level

  • Your geographic location

  • The cost of materials and any necessary permits

  • Accessibility of the work area and potential travel costs

Additionally, you may encounter higher rates or extra fees for emergency services or work scheduled during holidays.

To install or move washer and dryer hookups, you will likely need a combination of professionals. A plumber can handle the water supply lines and drain pipes. If you have a gas dryer, a plumber certified for gas lines or an HVAC specialist will be needed to run the gas line. An electrician is required to install the correct electrical outlets. For simpler jobs, a local handyperson may suffice, while a contractor might be needed for tasks like drywall repair for the new vents.

While a handyperson will do the odd small job for your home, a maintenance person is responsible for conducting regular inspections and repairs. Maintenance people may come in to do small fixes and diagnose any issues you might be facing, but may not have all the same technical abilities as a handyperson.

Many contractors prefer checks because they’re easy to track and have no associated fees. However, many also accept credit cards (though they might add a fee to cover their processing costs).
