"We were very happy with the work performed.  Clean, efficient, and great quality.  Kitchen and bathroom was done first in 2012.  The roof and siding was done some years later.   We are now working with John to renovate one of our businesses.  "

"This provider is one for the most honest and professional I've ever met - upon arrival he immediately told me that he is not the guy for the job - the windows in my house should be wood and he does not do wood windows. Despite it he proceeded to give me all the information needed for the project. And it was much needed indeed - I had been completely clueless about window replacement. He spent close to an hour telling me everything I need to know and he was very honest and extremely knowledgeable. He answered all my questions. Now I understand why this company has so many good reviews - they've been in business for two decades and they really care about the quality. Just because he wanted our house to look the best he walked away from a huge contract ( we need close to thirty windows!!!). I wish all contractors were like that!! I can not wait to find another job to give to this contractor ! I am really impressed"

Egress Windows questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can always make an existing window bigger, but the job complexity varies widely depending on the location of the window and the framing around it. Exterior walls are always load-bearing, so making windows wider will require structural changes that make for a more complex but doable project. Making windows taller often won’t require structural changes.

When you need new windows depends on a variety of factors, including the age of your windows, the age of your home, and the climate you live in. If you’re dealing with budget constraints, you don’t need to replace all your windows simultaneously.

When buying new windows, you should consider energy efficiency, safety, and aesthetics to choose the right window for you.

Yes, egress windows must meet local building codes for size and accessibility. Professional installers ensure compliance.

The average cost to install an egress window is approximately $3,900, with a typical range between $2,500 and $5,300, though costs can be higher. The final price is influenced by several factors, including the window's size, type, material, and glass quality. Other variables include labor costs, location, excavation needs, and whether permits or a structural engineer consultation are required. The price of the window itself often depends on the number of panes:

  • Single-pane: $100–$400

  • Double-pane: $200–$500

  • Triple-pane: $300–$800

Additional features like window wells or covers will also increase the total project cost. It is advisable to obtain multiple quotes from professionals to get a comprehensive understanding of the expenses for your specific project.

Adding windows to a house is expensive. Budget roughly $5,800 to add a single window, and double or triple that to add two or three. In some cases, adding a single window can exceed $20,000, depending on the type of exterior wall, the size of the window, the type of window, local permit costs, and other factors.
