"Mack Rubio does fantastic woodwork. He and Juri responded within minutes of my request for new porch stairs and railings, as well as replacement of rotted fascia and siding. His work is solid, fast, and precise. Excellent skill and craftsmanship. His estimates are affordable and his team are always punctual and professional. This is my first home purchase and it is a fixer-upper, so I will definitely be calling Mack again for assistance with all of our home improvement projects. I highly recommend HandyMack for all home repairs and renovations!"

"I tried the Home Advisor reluctantly since I don't ever feel you get what you hope for... But in this case I went with Dynamic Exteriors and was really surprised at their response... I sent pictures to all that responded to me. Some had minimums to do the work but Dynamic Exteriors called me and told me they could come the same day 7pm. I was about to change it but I decided to just get it done. It was the best decision I could have made. Most reasonable price, excellent work and good attitude and friendly to talk to. I'm one that likes to watch and learn, he knew exactly what to do no time wasted, done quickly and cleaned up. I'm happy; I to highly recommend them."

Customers say: Quick response

"I had a rather specific and somewhat specialized need for a backyard concrete patio. The project called for a roughly 14x16 ft slab, of 4" thick with wire mesh concrete - and most importantly the entire patio needed to be pitched toward a centered drywell, for proper drainage. For added trickiness, the backyard had no street access, other than through the house, so the concrete needed to be pumped in (which could get messy). I interviewed three contractors and found JGJ Home Improvement Corp. to be the best overall fit. They came in priced right and fully understood what I needed - without the typical (for whatever reason) inflated ego.  Luis started - THE NEXT DAY - and got the job done the same day, to exact specifications.  His team was professional, skilled and clean - and they thoroughly cleaned up after the job.  And most brilliant is that they hit the perfect pitch - The patio drains like a dream!... Beautiful.  Again, for me, it was essential that the contractor listened, understood and could act promptly, with a high degree of confidence and within my budget. Luis and his team did that and I am therefore so happy to offer my highest recommendation for their concrete services."

"KGX just finished the installation of vinyl flooring for my apartment two days ago, the workers were so nice, honest, professional and gave me good ideas on how the job should be done, I actually accepted all of their ideas and ultimately was so happy and satisfied with the ideas and the job that they’d done. I highly recommend this company because they really did a great job for me,"

Barndominium Builders questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can use a storage shed several ways, including as a chicken coop, but you'll need to make some modifications. You will have to add a chicken door, roosts, ventilation near the roof, mesh on the windows, and insulation if you live in a colder climate. Additionally, you’ll want to ensure that the shed is predator-proof so no other animals can harm your chickens. You should also add a run and nest boxes to your shed.

Any type of construction that damages a tree’s roots via soil compaction can be dangerous, and is one of the primary causes of mature tree death in residential areas. Simply putting lots of weight on the ground around the tree, like construction supplies, trailers, and equipment, can kill roots near the surface. Of course, installing new foundations, patios, or utility lines can cut through nearby tree roots. Accidentally striking a tree with equipment or supplies is rarely a problem, but can cause damage of its own, too.

The timeline to build your barn will depend on the barn type and the company you hire. A pole barn may take six weeks or so, while a traditionally framed or steel-framed barn can take four months or longer. Building a barndominium takes the longest because you are essentially building a new home. You can expect barndominiums to take six months or longer to build.

There's no simple answer to which is less costly: wood or metal-framed homes. In most cases, metal building components cost more than wooden ones, while entire metal buildings cost less than wooden versions. However, regardless of the exterior framing or structure, each must meet similar building codes. This means that the costs are about the same, even considering that wood will require more maintenance than metal over time.

While sheds are most certainly helpful for most homeowners, unfortunately, sheds do not add value to a home or property in the traditional sense. However, if the home has limited storage or garage space, having a shed to store things like decorations or lawn equipment can certainly be a positive if you want to sell.
