We had a meeting w Donna at LI Shed Builders to design a pool house/pavilion. We spent a 2 hours with them reviewing options, etc. Donna explained that there was a premium on supplies due to demand but she’d get back to us with a quote within the week. After following up with several emails and a phone call or 2, we still have not heard back from them. Very disappointing.

The shed guys were great. I've had it 18 months and it is very useful thanks to the intelligent design, flexibility, and good construction. The price was competitive and they removed the old one, a real value in itself.

i called for a simple quote, and the female who answered the phone was rude!!!!! Saying how busy they are and they need more information then hung up on me.

Wonderful experience start to finish. Took about two months to get shed installation date but it would've been earlier if the weather was nicer. Donna was very easy to work with as was her son. The shed is a much higher quality than anything you could get for a comparable price at Home Depot or lowes and looks much much nicer. If you need a new shed don't hesitate. I would hire again in a heartbeat.

Every aspect of the job was a wonderful experience. Donna, Zach and the team were great. They made picking the right shed, with the right options an easy process. Their build quality and professionalism are top notch and I'd have no problem recommending them. They also took great care in cleaning the site and removing all waste materials.

I spent a LOT of time researching and visiting other shed building companies on LI and in the end I am extremely happy that I decided to go with Long Island Shed Builders. They are a family owned company and every interaction with them was excellent. They worked with me every step of the way to design the perfect shed for my purposes. I literally spent weeks working with Donna as she emailed me different pictures of sheds that they had built to give me an idea of different design elements (windows, door size and styles, wall height, vinyl vs. wood, colors, etc.). She was incredibly patient and helpful. I also visited their site in St. James to see sample sheds. After finally ordering the shed (after much deliberation), it took about 3-4 weeks to have the build date scheduled. On the day of the build, Zach and his team arrived on time and were very professional and courteous. It was very clear early on that LI Shed Builders uses quality material and builds sheds that will last for a long time. For example, they build all sheds with 2 x 4s 16? on center, whereas many other companies I looked at build up to 21? and even 24? on center. That?s just one example of the many little things that LI Shed Builders do that gave me a good feeling about their work and the confidence to go with them. One other item I should mention is that on the day of the build, one of the workers accidentally broke one of the panes of glass on one of the shed windows while taking it off of the truck. It wasn?t a big deal and I was prepared to wait for a replacement, but they sent someone out the very next day (on a Sunday!) to replace the entire window. I would have been happy with just a replacement of the single pane of glass that broke, but since they couldn?t find a single pane of the same quality, they just replaced the entire window. I was very impressed by that and it gives you a good sense of how much they care about their product. If you are looking for a shed, you can?t go wrong with LI Shed Builders. While I?m sure you can probably find less expensive options, I found their prices to be very reasonable, especially given the quality of the build. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality shed.

I found LI Shed Builders using an on line search as well as Angie's List. Angie's list noted that they did not serve my area but I called and they do! I went out to see the sheds first hand and noted 4 seemingly small details that signified a quality product and did not hesitate to design my shed per my specifications. I had expected to have to wait about 4 to 6 weeks for the shed but was pleased that they were ready within 3 weeks. The two fellows who came were pleasant, professional and careful. The old shed was removed and the new one built in place.. I am very pleased with it both its appearance and quality and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends.

My shed in the backyard was closing in on being 40 years old. It was made of wood and was literally falling apart. It was time to get a new one. I looked online and could not find anyone in my area with a lot of good reviews. Thanls to Angie's List I DID NOT choose another shed builder due to a bunch of bad reviews. I saw one good review for Long Island Shed Builders and decided to give them a call. I got Donna on the phone and she seemed nice. She suggested I go to their facility in St James. I did so and was happy to see a bunch of nice sheds to help me decide what features I wanted. They walked me through my choices and I made my order. I chose the largest shed I could legally get in the town of Oyster Bay. I wanted a heavy duty floor, a removable ramp, vents, 2 windows and shelves. I purchased a wood shed with vinyl siding. They were pretty backed up selling sheds due to all the damage from Sandy. They couldn't schedule me for about 30 days. They scheduled me for and quot;mid Mayand quot; when they called in early May they could have come right away but made it more convenient for me by coming on May 15th (yesterday). They showed up as scheduled and did everything they said they would do. They had some extra wood so they were nice enough to build the roof 12and quot; on center instead of 16and quot;. So now I have a heavy duty roof too at no extra cost! They took down the old shed and carted it away. They had to come in my backyard through a gate. I was happy to see that they did not back up their heavy truck on my lawn. I assumed that they would but was happy to see that they didn't! They built my shed on site and when done it looked great.One bush was overgrown and in the way so they pruned it back a little bit. When done they took away all the garbage and left the site nice and clean. The workmanship on the shed is great. I couldn't be happier. I was nervous about choosing a shed company and now that it is done, I am happy to say that I made a great choice and I highly recommend Long Island Shed Builders!
