"This past month, Matthew did an excellent job in clearing out the mice under my porch where they were getting into the walls of my home. He found all of the entry holes and delt with the problem humanely. I haven't seen or heard any mice since! Matthew is the best at pest control. I can't recommend Get Out enough! Support your local business!"

"Everything was explained satisfactorily. This was our first experience with pest control, so we were apprehensive at first. It's early for carpenter ants to appear so we got on top of it right away. let's see if the treatment works in the ant's busy season. Was a bit disappointed that no one followed up with a phone call to see how we were doing."

"After getting a few estimates from a few other companies we called capital wildlife control. They were very informative and gave us a few options to remove skunks under our deck and keep them out for good . Very knowledgeable  and much more affordable then the other estimates we received."

"Jon helped us with a bird problem that caused a hole in the front of our house. He was very responsive to our query and was able to take care of issue in a timely manner. He did some education and was upfront with how much it would cost. Very professional and look forward to hiring them again!"

"Ecotech was the first of the three Servicemagic suggested services to contact me and set up an appointment for an estimate. The technician was very pleasant, knowledgeable and prompt. Prior to his onsite visit, I had been contacted by one of the other 2 services, that outlined their program and gave me a quote over the phone. Armed with that information, I was better able to assess the comparable service suggested by Ecotech, who was able to begin their treatment service immediately. The overall rating is based only on this one visit. Since we expect several followup visits, I hope that this positive experience continues"

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Popular nesting areas outside of a home include eaves, porches, gutters, and chimneys. However, some birds can make their way into your attic or ventilation systems. A reputable removal service will inspect your home's interior and exterior for any evidence of roosting and nesting birds while they prepare to remove them.

Yes, many professionals offer eco-friendly pest control solutions. These services often use non-toxic and environmentally safe products and integrate green practices to ensure effective pest management with minimal environmental impact.

Chirping noises, droppings, scratches on the walls, and stains at entries and exits are all signs that you have bats in your house or, more specifically, your attic. Because bats are nocturnal, there’s a chance that bats have already infested your home before you start to see warning signs, so don’t delay if you notice anything. If you see a bat or two at sunrise or sunset near your property, that’s another telltale sign that they could be setting up shop inside your space.

When woodpeckers start banging on your walls or roof, they are probably looking for insects to eat, storing nuts for winter, drilling a hole to make a nest, or communicating with other birds to establish territory or find a mate.

The size of the hole can help determine the reason for the pecking. Small irregular holes are a result of insect hunts. Acorn holes are more consistently sized and often fitted with a nut in the middle. Nest holes are large and have rounded edges. If the bird is pecking to mark its territory or attract a mate, it may leave dents rather than holes, and the noise will stop when the mating season starts in spring.

Hawk attacks on pets are rare, and they won’t target animals that outweigh them. Hawks typically weigh between one and three pounds. That means you don’t need to worry if you have a Labrador Retriever or French Bulldog. However, small cats and toy breed dogs, like Chihuahuas, are at risk. Pet attacks are more likely in winter when food is scarce or in the early summer when inexperienced young hawks are honing their hunting skills.
