"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"At first we were off to a rough start. I understand repairing drywall on an upward sloping ceiling can be a bit challenging however I was a bit irritable after seeing the results the following day. There were flaws such as the uneven drywall, texture and wrong color match. I had him come back 4 times till he finally got it right. Each time he looked at his work and knew what needed to be fixed. I did have to wait a week in between until he could come back and fix it so the project ended up taking longer than expected. I wasn't able to recieve my discount because he stated that the project costed him more than he first agreed to. Although I became frustrated with the longevity of the project, I was completely satisfied and happy with his work in the end. He made sure he came back and fixed the flaws until I was satisfied. This is what good customer service is about!"

"Marketplace Homes has managed two residential rental properties for me, and everything has always been very easy. They coordinate showings, negotiated rent with tenants, and hired contractors as needed at each property. I would use them for any rental property I have in the future!"

"

My side by side refrigerator seemed to be getting warmer on the freezer side so at first I just turned it up hoping that would work. It seemed to for a day or so and then both sides seemed warmer than normal so after looking on Angie's List I called ProServ and was scheduled the next morning between 8:00 and 12:00. Joey, the service person called at 9:00 as was at my house within a half hour. He was very professional, pleasant and got down to business right away. Two relays were out which he had on his truck and changed them out quickly. Everything went great and would use them anytime I had a appliance problem.

"Creative Interior Solutions (CIS) recently completed a remodel and casita (pool / guest house) project on our new home / property. They provided excellent service and commitment to completing the job in a timely and professional manner. Skillfully guiding and supporting us through every aspect of the project. CIS’ general manager, Aaron Dockstader, was wonderful to work with! He pushed every phase of the job in a consistently, well organized manner; proving to have a keen eye for detail, strong dependability, and exceptional project management skills."

"We've got American Home Shield. So that kinda varies but united air temp has done some work for us. Probably a couple years ago, I think so. I think its two years ago. They did work on our air conditioning. Well you know with American Home Shield you only pay $75.00. You sign up for a year , its like something you subscribe to.  You call and contact American Home Shield and they have somebody contact you whose in line with their services and agrees to work with them. You pay $75.00 and if its not done correctly for each visit but if they come back twice you don't pay again. Its like 400 and something a year. Its fabulous, its fabulous. If you need plumbing , H VAC, lighting, its amazing. Its worth every dime. And if they can't fix it they replace it at no charge unless you want to upgrade There are some different companies but even when we refinanced our house they had us, no we bought another house in Winchester for our son. And they made us have it in with our policy and they use American Home shield. its fabulous and you don't have to do the searching or anything, If you aren't happy you just tell American Home shield. One time United Air Temp tried to talk us into , they did some plumbing work too, and they were going try to talk us into replacing it with a cheap model. That isn't American Home Shield policy its with the same thing or you can pay to upgrade. Pay the balance of an upgrade. We use it all the time. When my son has issues with his house I tell him just call American Home Shield. They guarantee they will be out within 72 hrs but its usually within 24 hours. We contacted them last week about my son's air conditioning. They came out right away, they had to order something. They had to come back out and they did last Wednesday and they fixed it."

"They had to travel 140 miles a day round trip to do the work for us and they were prompt. The were precise and saved us a lot of money on the re-build. All of their subcontractors they used were excellent, as well. After finishing building the house they have stopped in several times to check in on things. They have built over one thousand homes and ton a lot of remodels, as well."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

A good slump height really depends on the project, but there is a use for nearly all slump levels. For example, low slumps are best in projects that require structure, such as curbs and roads. High slumps often require additional reinforcement, but they flow more freely into hard-to-reach spaces.

Most houses are expected to settle over time, but foundation sinking of more than a few inches or uneven sinking of more than an inch for every 20 feet is cause for concern. Any significant or uneven sinking should be assessed by a professional to determine the cause and perform any necessary repairs.

On average, a mudjacking repair lasts between five and 10 years, though it can sometimes last for well beyond a decade under ideal conditions. Its longevity depends heavily on several factors, including the condition of the underlying soil, environmental conditions like freeze/thaw cycles and erosion, and whether the root cause of the sinking, such as drainage issues, is resolved. Because it doesn't always fix the underlying problem of loose soil, mudjacking is often considered a temporary solution. Proper maintenance and evaluation can help extend its lifespan.

There is no real alternative to underpinning, although mudjacking and polyjacking are other repair methods that can add support from underneath your foundation. Rather than placing supportive piers under your structure, these involve pumping a material under your slab to lift a sunken section back into its original position. Polyjacking, in particular, is sometimes a suitable solution for stabilization issues under slab foundations, but underpinning is often accepted as the best and most permanent solution.
