"They were really reasonable came to the house in zip 89052 I was moving from and took down my canopy king size bed and took down a mounted tv. Then also drove to my new location 89011, put the canopy bed back together and mounted 4 TVs and did a great job! They are very reasonable better than every person I spoke to that day for the same exact service. Super dependable and reliable. I will be using them for now on! Great job 👏🏾"

"***HIGHLY RECOMMEND*** I had the pleasure of the HandyMan Jose' Alvarez accept my job/tasks. Early on, Jose' responded to my Angi request, and was able to quote me an hourly rate. He then said for me to call or text if I decided to go forward. After I made the decision to go forward, they came on time with a call before coming. They worked with precision and handled all my stated tasks. I will call this team for my next set of tasks."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

The steps to fill a swimming pool will depend on your local building codes. However, it starts with draining the pool of all water using a submersible pump. Then your pro will lift the pool shell from the ground or break it into pieces for individual removal. The next step is filling the cavity with dirt and gravel and topping it with topsoil. Once a structural engineer deems the site safe, landscaping can start.

A fiberglass pool lasts up to 30 to 50 years with proper maintenance. For the longest possible lifespan, keep your pool water pH as close to seven as possible. Test your water levels regularly, run your pool filter daily, and avoid draining the pool. Once your pool is 20 to 30 years old, you can prolong the lifespan by refinishing the shell.

Losing some water from splashing and evaporation is normal. However, if you notice a rapid drop in the water level or are adding water more frequently than usual, you might have a leak. Other common signs of a pool leak include:

  • Unexplained soft, mushy, or wet spots in the yard.

  • Cracks in the pool's structure or falling tiles.

  • Higher-than-normal water bills.

  • Persistent algae growth or water discoloration.

  • Standing water near the pump, pipes, or other pool equipment.

Finding a reputable inground pool installation company starts with an online search and assessing a company’s positive and negative reviews. You can also check the Better Business Bureau’s reports for companies you’re considering to see if they have numerous customer complaints for poor service. One of the best things you can do to find a good company is ask for references and then call those past customers to see how they felt during the installation process and how their pool has held up. Finally, you can get estimates from the remaining companies to compare.

You can avoid pool collapse—known as pool pop in an inground pool—if you follow the instructions on how to drain your pool safely. Wait for a temperate, dry day and slowly remove the water with a sump pump, hose, or the attached drains and hydrostatic plugs.
