"I'm a bit confused here, because the only Courtney we have EVER had as a customer does not include the scope of work this Courtney is detailing. My records show a $6000 project and not $20,000. Also I do not have any record of any warranty requests from this lady. So if you could please call me directly 702-409-8955 to discuss your concerns and provide me with more details. Unless your contract was under a different name? But from looking at the pictures posted, it is clear that the decking has shifted. This could be due to tree roots. There is clearly a gap that has formed between the deck and the tile. And from what I can see, the section where some tile fell off is due to the deck lifting. I would like to know the name on the contract for this pool remodel so that I can do some research. From looking at these pictures it is clear the tile issue is due to the deck lifting and not from poor install. Have you looked to see if there are tree roots lifting your deck? Was this pool flooded? Because that can cause a deck to shift or rise up. You labeled you pictures as Cracks not sealed, but that is a joint between the tile and the deck. Its not a permanent seal point. That deck has clearly shifted. How can that be the responsibility of the contractor 4 years later? You have a picture labeled as Missing Tiles: The tiles look like they fell off due to the deck moving. We would NEVER hand over a pool to a client missing tile. No-one would accept that. The tile were obviously there, but have fallen off due to that deck lifting. the other picture is labeled Underground water damage that damaged the decking: Pools do develop leaks from old plumbing, tree roots, shifting ground or even leaking irrigation lines. I'm note sure how 4 years after the work is completed you choose to place blame on us?Again I have no record of this person. But if you had spent $15,000 to repair, what was the leak caused by? was it a broken pipe, broken fitting, old pipes, irrigation? How old is this pool? I look forward to your phonemail so that I can better assist. Sincerely, Leonard Nell Fix-A-Pool,LLC"

"Thank you so much for your wonderful review, I really appreciate it. It was such a pleasure working on your pool remodel, and the end result was beautiful. Only one correction, Kelly is the lead sales rep, and not an owner ; )"

"Oh my goodness, this is a total LIE. Let me break this down. I have been going back and forth with this client about his final payment that he is refusing to pay after his pool was completed above and beyond. He has made false claims about everything. Even threatening to go to the contractors board. I gladly gave him the direct number of the person to speak to at the board. This client fails to mention that we had weather delays, covid illnesses in the company which led to several workers at different times not being able to work, and product supply chain delay issues to deal with. I do have a voicemail from him that I will try to upload to my Home-advisor page where he praises the work as beautiful and perfect. He was a tough customer to work with, but really became an abusive and argumentative when we requested final payment. Here are the details. We re-plastered his pool, installed new tile, built a small water feature and a small concrete pad. Our contract, like all contracts, states that we are not responsible for possible damage to irrigation lines that we can't see underground. He claims he had to redo the entire irrigation system, but our trench was only 10" wide and in a line. His tile quote was to install new tile ALL around his pool and on the new water-feature for $1120.00. His claim that this charge is for only 60 pieces of tile is obscured. I will post pictures of his pool on our page too. He had a total of 75' of tile installed. Not just 60 pieces. While my team where in his back yard forming for the concrete pad, he asked them to increase the size and quantity of concrete. My salesman was there at the time and gave Mr. Junglas a quick verbal price of $1200 on top of the original cost, to which Mr. Junglas agreed. My guys did the work before a change order could be signed. He is now refusing to pay that additional cost after the concrete was already poured because the change order wasn't signed before the concrete was poured. We had also contracted and agreed to install new tile on the front and sides of his water feature. While my tile installer was doing that he asked the tile installer to install more tile along the back of the structure too. My tile installer purchased more tile and did what the customer asked. He is now also refusing to pay for the additional tile he requested. The only ones losing here at this point is us. We can't even have a normal discussion with this client without him swearing and screaming at us to avoid proper discussion and conclusion. He has left my assistant in tears with the way he screamed at her and insulted her over the phone. Also during all this time we were working with him, we had a typo in his email address, so unfortunately he did not receive all our email communications and only informed us at the end that he had not received any emails from us. Even though we informed him verbally that we through the process that we had been sending him emails. I have date stamped records of all emails and texts sent to this client. I hope this response clears things up for anyone reading his negative review. It is sad that there are people who take advantage of good contractors."
"This is not correct. Here are the facts: Fix-A-Pool was contracted to re-plaster the pool, install new lights in the pool and spa, and perform a leak detection. This was all done as requested. After the pool was plastered and filled, Mr. Azuse noticed that the pool light was not seated correctly in the niche. He contacted me to make sure the light was set correctly and that they were working before he would pay me the final balance. I stopped by his house personally on 6/26/21, and with both Mr.s Azuse and Mrs. Azuse present, I got into his pool. I noticed that the screw hole in the light niche was old and damaged and would not hold the new light. So I installed a light wedge to secure the light to his satisfaction. I showed both Mr. and Mr.s Azuse that both lights were functioning and installed correctly. I informed him that he needed to replace the old X10 switches because they were faulty. He said he would take care of that at a later date. They were both satisfied that all was done as promised, and he paid me the final balance of $3555.00. I informed Mr. Azuse and his wife that the old X10 style switches they have are notorious for being faulty and that he would be better off installing toggle switches at some point. When I left that house the lights were functioning. This was on 6/26/21. I have communication to prove this. One or around September 17-18 I received a call from Mr. Azuse, telling us that the lights were not working. I sent a technician to inspect the issue on 9/20/21. The tech found that Mr. Azuse had disconnected the power to the lights, removed the old switches and wired the lights directly to his breaker. There was clear evidence inside the panel of an arch or electrical short, (where a live wire had touched the interior of the panel). My tech sent me photos of this. My tech asked Mr. Azuse what happened, and Mr. Azuse informed my tech that he had attempted to change out the switches etc. It is my belief that during his attempt to change the switches, Mr. Azuse possibly shorted out the lights which could have burned out the bulbs in the lights. Both of the lights we installed were brand new. I think that Mr. Azuse attempted to do something with the lights himself, which resulted in damaging the lights, and is now attempting to place the blame on Fix-A-Pool. Between my tech and myself we have over 40 years of experience with pool lights etc. We are professionals and know what we are doing. I have no problem helping Mr. Azuse install new bulbs in the lights, and have never denied him assistance. What I don't understand is why Mr. Azuse is wanting us to fix or replace lights that were working, and at the same time go onto every social media outlet possible to write negative reviews. His pool remodel was done correctly as described in the contract. Not once did we say we were not willing to work with him to help him. But he chooses to write negative reviews instead. "We offer a two year warranty on all deck resurfacing. This is industry standard. We have not been contacted by this client for any warranty issue at all. Please note, when there are existing cracks in the concrete decking we fill them and apply a mesh with polymer to cover the crack, but it is not a permanent repair. We explain this to all deck resurfacing clients. The only way to get rid of cracked concrete permanently is to remove the cracked concrete and pour new concrete. There is a high chance of existing cracks opening up again due to expansion and contraction, and we also have many fault lines running through the valley, which cause the ground to shift. I would be glad to stop by and inspect the work for a warranty repair. Also, note that all materials and deck paint we use for deck resurfacing are specifically manufactured for that purpose. Please visit www.xcelsurfaces.com to see the products used. Note that water is the enemy of concrete decks. Irrigation systems and leaks can and will damage concrete, and any texture/paint applied. Again we take pride in our work and craftsmanship, and would be more than happy to return for a legitimate warranty repair. With regard to the job taking longer than promised, we tell clients we would try to get it done in a two to three week period. There are things that can delay work and prolong the job process. These are, poor weather (rain and wind), new concrete that needs time to cure, customer indecision on deck paint color, machinery malfunction or sick employees, or working around other contractors that are also working on the house or landscaping. There is no reason for us to unnecessarily prolong a job. Regards, Leonard Nell Fix-A-Pool, LLC"
