"The gardening team did a very good job trimming my shrubs and removing and spraying the weeds. The yard looks great. Their price for the work was very reasonable."

"Polite, personable and knowledgeable. No BS, came right over, found legit issues, gave an instant quote. Before I could get the job scheduled, he offered to do it right there on the spot. Well done, heâ s our guy going forward 100%. He did a front yard clean up (Iâ m the last house in a cul-de-sac so I had quite a leaf collection) trimmed my tree and bushes and fixed my water lines (had to dig them up and readjust them) all right there in less than 2 hours."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I got a super fast and reasonable quote that was better priced than anyone else I contacted. They were able to come out within the hour, which was a huge plus. For just $250, they cleared out a garage full of Amazon boxes, packaging, and miscellaneous junk. They showed up with a big trailer and had everything loaded up and gone incredibly fast. The entire process was easy, professional, and hassle-free. They were friendly, efficient, and left the area clean when they were done. Great communication, fair pricing, and excellent service from start to finish. If you need junk removal, I highly recommend them. Would definitely hire them again!"

"These guys are great! Showed up 15 minutes early for both the estimate and the job. They don’t mess around and they worked so well together. Very professional. Excellent job cutting two very large trees and removed 3 additional stumps. They left our yard spotless. Highly recommend Gomez Tree Service!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

If your roof was constructed between 1930 and 1970, there’s a possibility that the shingles contain asbestos. If that’s the case, you should hire a professional for repairs and replacement, as they’ll have the necessary equipment to stay safe from such a hazardous and cancer-causing substance. If your home was constructed after this period, it’s unlikely that the shingles in place are toxic. In most cases, asbestos shingles are not recyclable, while standard asphalt shingles are recyclable.

The safest way to remove lead-based paint is by letting a professional take over. For most people, lead paint removal costs an average of $3,400. You should never attempt to dry sand old lead-based paint surfaces by hand. Most professionals use a paint stripper to do the job followed by wet scraping, but if you don’t want to remove lead paint, another option is to paint over it. Only consider this option if the old lead paint finish isn’t flaking or cracked.

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.

Disposing of old paint, bleach, oil, and fertilizer should be handled by a company that specializes in this kind of waste. Many private junk removal companies do not dispose of these items. Because these materials are hazardous to the environment and dangerous to handle or dispose of improperly, you should confirm with your local municipality about places to take hazardous materials for safe disposal.

While the EPA provides guidelines for homeowners to perform DIY lead paint removal, it is a risky process and generally not recommended due to serious health risks and strict regulatory requirements. The process requires precise safety precautions, such as wearing a respirator and protective eyeglasses, creating sealed exits, and using a HEPA vacuum for cleanup. To ensure the job is done safely, effectively, and in compliance with regulations, it is highly recommended to hire a professional lead abatement company. Certified professionals have the necessary training, experience, and specialized equipment (like chemical strippers and HEPA vacuums) to handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.
