"Kevin worked efficiently and did an excellent job of assembling the IKEA shelf unit. He was creative in fastening it to the wall (for safety). He cleaned up the work space, and he was personable to have in my home."

"Couldn't have gone any better! Joseph quickly determined that our kitchen wall cabinet wasn't even attached to the wall studs. No wonder it was pulling away from the wall. He found the studs, showed us the problem, and got to work making it right. He and Phil did a great job, cleaned up after and I'd highly recommend this company. Side note, Joseph has years of construction experience. He doesn't take shortcuts and it's obvious he takes pride in his work."

"I had a wooden fence that was poorly made in the first place by the builder of this house that was constantly blowing open when the wind started up in the afternoon I need to replace it, but I can’t do it right. This second RJ showed up head supplies with him to get the gate just closed and fortified so I don’t have to worry about it. He’s gonna be my new best friend."

"Let Happy Homes Lath & Plaster and Roofing. L.L.P. take the stress out of any remodeling project you may have. They did the following projects for my husband & I: Installed a new front & back door. Completely did the stucco work on my home & work shop. Painted our storage building & a new fence that was constructed on back yard this past spring. The crew truly worked many long hours in the hot sun getting the jobs done. Lastly, for twenty years I have been looking at sheet rock in our garage that my husband was going to get to. I now have a finished garage that I can actually use this winter to park my car in. They are able to finish a wide range of projects and they were reasonably priced to fit our budget."

"Aztec Mountain Construction knocked out 2 walls and a floor to ceiling pantry. They build an island, installed lighting, granite counters and a kitchen sink. They built an amazing new pantry. They also installed a new door, and bathroom counters and sinks. They are very efficient with their time, clean as they go, try to meet their deadlines. They were always on time, even worked late to finish up. They communicate well with their clients. We are extremely pleased with the new and improved kitchen. I highly recommend Aztec Mountain."

"Contractor replaced a walk-in shower with one they picked out. Work was very professional, and they completed it in a reasonable time including the wallboard repair and floor tile replacement. Also rebuilt back step risers that were starting to rot out. They were good to work with."
The average cost to hire a handyman ranges from about $40 to $140 per hour. Average project cost ranges between $180 and $700, but the cost per hour and per project depends heavily on the type, size, and complexity of the project. The pro’s experience level and your location also factor into how much a handyman charges per hour or per project. You can also expect to pay higher rates or additional fees for emergency services, or around periods of high customer demand, like holidays.
The cost of home remodeling is $50,000 for the average homeowner. However, this cost can range anywhere from $3,000 for a small project to $170,000 for a whole home remodel. Factors like project size, location, and room type all affect your overall cost. For example, bedroom remodeling costs are one of the least expensive projects, costing about $1,500 to $5,500 per bedroom. However, a kitchen remodel has a significant cost range, totaling anywhere from $14,500 to over $70,000.
Generally, general contractors charge between $50 and $150 hourly, though not every contractor charges by the hour. If charging based on the project, you can expect a markup of 10% to 20% of the construction cost. You can expect to pay between $300 and $500 daily if charged by the day.
Yes, most states require home remodeling contractors to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed home remodeling contractor could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
