"The service was good. Two guys came out to do the work, and they left the area fine. They do a good job. This was the third time I used them. My husband was not feeling well, he was having problems with asthma and so we used them. I don't their prices are out of line."
"D&R did a tremendous job of repairing my cracked and buckled drywall. The quality of work was amazing and even brought his team out during the service to evaluate other work at my residence. Their team was extremely professional, produced high quality results, and was extremely well priced. This was by far my best experience on Angie's List and I highly recommend D&R to anyone who needs work done. "
"Review for Tiles Unlimited James Gutierrez, Owner and Provider of Services Services provided from 2008-2014 When we moved into this property in 2007 there was a barn, approximately 3500 square feet that had been used for horses and not well cleaned or managed for almost nine years. It had a dirt floor and three empty rooms and was infested with vermin. James Gutierrez, the owner of Tiles Unlimited developed a plan to bring the three rooms into modern service and restore a state of cleanliness to the environment. In addition to cleaning and repainting the interior of the rooms, he removed and treated all contaminated dirt, and ran a full length brick floor in a classic old world design pattern down the center aisle. He converted three rooms to my specification for my particular requirements, converting one room to an office which involved locating and preparing for install a granite counter top with sink and helped remodel existing cabinetry to create a small bar top sink arrangement. Following that he designed and built a very elegant tile bathroom with a walk-in travertine shower and modern floor In P3 high durability tile. This required not only advanced tile skills but plumbing and painting skills as well. In the house he added a saltillo tile floor to a large bathroom in the master bedroom. During the summer of this year, 2014, he completely repainted the interior of the house and worked closely with us to experiment with colors including several mid progress changes in color. James was the model of patience and accommodation with our own indecision in the process. You never know what the paint is really going to look like until you get it on the walls. We had made at least one unanticipated change and James was keen on making sure we were going to like what we set out to accomplish. I have additionally three more projects emerging for the coming year. There is no matter of choice where we are concerned as we know that working with James will always mean a 100% effort on his part to make sure we are satisfied. James is very much on top of communications and is the kind of guy who will call you if he is going to be ten minutes late. That is rare these days. I have never had to go looking for him or wonder when things were going to happen. There is a strong sense of personal attention to your needs and desires. We have every confidence in James and have watched his business steadily grow primarily from referrals. His skill base is broad and his willingness to take on difficult projects is admirable. Tiles Unlimited is a small company with a big follow through and always at the top of our list. We most highly recommend this company.
"All tasks were done to the highest standard. The windows look beautiful. The owner and the staff were very pleasant and easy to work with. They arrived punctually and completed the job in a timely fashion.
We were able to get an appointment within two weeks of calling.
"I highly recommend James and his crew at Just Stucco. The stucco process consisted of a base coat with mesh, a primer and then an acrylic elastomeric final color coat. We also added a waterproof coating to the parapets for extra protection. They did the house, garage, and all outside walls. James was easy to work with, had excellent communications and his crew was always on time. We also received a warranty too. They made sure to clean up afterwards. My wife says that the house looks better now than when it was new!"
"I highly recommend Kevin & Kerry! They are responsive, responsible, and provide quality professional painting services. We were very impressed with their prepping - they were very careful with our artwork and furniture and did extra preparations when needed. Kerry has a keen eye for color and was very helpful in making paint choices that gave our home the “pop” I was looking for....in addition they are both interesting & friendly people!"
"We were very happy with the service provided by 360 Painting While they were not the lowest estimate we received, they were well worth the additional minimal investment.. Chris showed-up at the agreed upon time and provided a very detailed estimate. On the first day of this 5-day project, Chris and Teresa showed-up as scheduled and walked the project with their crew and us. On each subsequent day, the crew was timely and pleasant, worked efficiently, took care to protect surfaces not being painted (floors, fireplace, etc.), and cleaned up at the end of each day. Teresa was on site each morning to answer questions, address concerns and inspect the work done the previous day. She also performed a very thorough inspection at the end of the project. We would not hesitate to work with them again."
Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts
Costs depend on paint type, surface condition, labor, and required prep work for repainting.
The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.
Your pro will most likely bill you at an hourly rate of $50 to $80 per hour to sandblast a door due to its small size. This type of job won't take long, so if you have other surfaces that need cleaning, schedule those tasks at the same time to get your money's worth from your pro's visit.
The cost of sandblasting depends on the scope of the project, the surface type, labor, and equipment required. Services typically cost between $50 and $80 per hour, though most professionals charge by surface area at a rate of $1.50 to $7 per square foot. Total project costs can range from $700 to $12,500, with an average homeowner spending around $3,200 to sandblast a 1,000-square-foot surface.
Soda-blasting systems are slightly more expensive than sandblasting systems. To soda blast, you’ll need to spend a few hundred dollars for a blast hose and nozzle, a compressed air supply, a blast generator, a moisture decontamination system, and sodium bicarbonate media, a recurring cost because the powder is not reusable. To start with sandblasting, you will need to spend upwards of $30 for a blast pot, a blast gun, an air compressor, and sandblasting media, many of which are recyclable—further reducing the cost. The total cost for either will depend on the size of the system.
