"Miguel performed the work and did a great job. He was extremely helpful in answering any questions and was a pleasure to have on site. I would defiantly use MD excavation in the future and would definitely use and refer Miguel to other clients. Thank you, Miguel!!"

"NE heating and cooling by far the best experience I have had with any contractor for repairs. Pepe and his crew were very knowledgeable about installing new furnace unit. There work was very clean and very fast. They were the only company that was willing to get things done right away. During the coldest day of the year when we had a deep freeze Pepe showed up ready to make things happen. There prices are very reasonable and the dedication to making sure things work right was on point. I definitely would hire this company again. I recommend this company for any heating/cooling needs."

"Fantastic job installing and finishing two skylights in our living room. The thought, design, and implementation were all outstanding. Couldn't be happier with the results and our choice of Victor and his team."

"Excellent. I've never found anybody that knows as much as he does about plumbing, electrical and HVAC. He's just absolutely wonderful. I would not use anybody else. He knows and explains things. He's a bit cheaper on some of the main plumbers."

"During the demolition of my burned out residence they found a box of pictures and they rescued them for me and put them on a safe place. Also they discovered a bee hive during the removal and contacted someone to come remove the hive. I can't recommend them highly enough. It was a pleasure doing business with them"

"I had Strong Built install a refrigeration ac & furnace unit in my home on April 6 & 7, 2023. The Strong Built team consisted of: Manny GM, Chris Barr install manager, Nick & Alex install team, Chris Sinseneros & Felix aeroseal team and Marcos & Chris Dominguez electrical. Although, I have had a lot of bad/negative experiences in hiring and dealing with contractors, that is what I expected more of when I hired Strong Built to install my refrigerated ac unit. Needless to say, Strong Built proved me wrong. Strong Built employees made me feel very comfortable dealing with them, encouraging me to ask questions (of which I asked a lot of questions). Any requests that I made of them, sometimes I asked more than once to pay attention to a certain request, I was responded to with politeness and respect. Never did I get the impression that they were doing me a favor by servicing my requests. All of Strong Built's employees were very pleasant to deal with & their professional quality is hard to match. I am very thankful and appreciative Strong Built is a quality company of which I would do business with again &/or refer their services to other people I may know. I am also highly thankful for the hard work and dedication that Chris Sinseneros & Felix's efforts in performing the aeroseal work on my duct system. I know it was very frustrating and time consuming in dealing with my ducting, sealing all of the leaks (going above and beyond in their duties) to make sure my duct system was properly aerosealed. I am very thankful for Strong Built for providing me quality and professionalism beyond reproach. And that each of their employees conducted themselves in a very nice, polite & professional manner. Thank you again for having professional employees and doing the quality work that every company should have when working on a customers job and for giving me 'THAT FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE'."

"Timely, able to communicate to non-plumbing folks. Even when technically capable (as my wife and both are) it helps dealing with someone who can explain things without jargon."

"

Paid for this through Angie's List and forgot about it.  I've gotten spoiled by providers contacting me and this business never did.

So the upshot is that the company might be fine, but the downside is that I paid for services I never received.

Honestly, I wasn't going to write a review at all except for the annoying popup thing that keeps asking about my experience.

So I'd go for other people's reviews to get a more realistic sense of what this company's about.

Excavating questions, answered by experts

Downspouts should be buried at least 5 to 10 feet away from your foundation. This can vary depending on your local building codes, soil type, and property slope. The main goal is to ensure water is directed away from your foundation.

We recommend removing the stump, and grinding is a popular way to do it. You can also dig out small stumps or stumps that have fully decayed instead of grinding them. However, don’t try using acids or fire for killing a tree stump, which is a fire hazard and illegal in many areas.

Leaving the stump alone invites eventual problems, including attracting termites, mold, and fungi.

Dumpsters work best on hard, study, and level surfaces made of asphalt, stone, or concrete. If the surface is uneven or too soft, the dumpster could get stuck or tip over when filled. Keep in mind that you must obtain a dumpster permit to keep it on a city street in many areas.

Tree experts don’t advise against digging through tree roots, but instead encourage caution and consultation with a local arborist to make sure you don’t damage the tree’s structure or interrupt its water or nutrient intake. An arborist can recommend specific practices when digging and help prune the roots or dig a trench for utilities with a tool that can remove soil without touching the tree’s roots.

Call 811 to locate and mark the gas lines at least three days before digging. In many areas, you can dig within 18 inches of the lines, though in some locations, the distance may be further. Check local regulations, as you may need a utility company representative onsite when digging. Document your calls to 811 and precautions taken to avoid gas lines. A homeowner can be held liable for hitting a gas line in some cases, but contacting the proper authorities and following all guidelines can offer protection.
