"I called PK construction to get an estimate on replacing the 11 windows across the front of my house. I didn't reach anyone the first time and had to leave a message. A day or two later I got a call back, which I missed, and I played phone tag with the office for about a week. Once I actually talked to someone an appointment was made within the next week. My estimator was prompt, professional and respectful. He quickly prepared his estimate, and presented it to me. He didn't really explain the benefits of PK construction's products or installation. He was never pushy or rude. I was pleased with our interaction.

"Reule Sun did a FABULOUS job on our house, with incredible attention to detail, extremely thorough preparation, total job-site neatness and cleanliness, lightning responsiveness to any issues which arose, and a very high level of craft. After watching our job, the neighbor across the street has hired them for a complete stucco job and also new windows. (If your windows are within shouting distance of needing replacement, do these just ahead of the stucco job.)"

"We contacted them; they sent out someone to replace the glass.  I mentioned the temperature not being efficient and they checked both ovens because I was having to use one of the other ovens because of the cracked door, and that yes indeed that filament wasn't heating properly.  While they were here they checked the filament in the oven with the broken glass in the door and that one wasn't heating properly, so the technician reported that we might need a new oven.  And I guess after them finding out that there were no parts available, they supplied us with a new oven.  That was something we were wanting to do on our own some day.  So they replaced our oven; we were happy with that.  We were able to replace an ugly oven that had other issues, it was missing some of the trim, and it was probably the second oven for this older home.  For their price, I think American Home Shield is about average; I mean, they're a typical home warranty company.  They're not cheaper than anybody else.  I had to call them to find out that we were getting the new oven.  We had the technician out, someone was gonna get back with us, and about a week went by and I had to make a phone call and find out that they were gonna give us an oven. "

"Overall I am satisfied with the results of the gate and wall, but definitely not the quality of work I was hoping for or expecting. SMRT sent a contracted employee to do the work, he called the night before, arrived on time and proceeded to increase the height of the cinder block wall by 3 blocks, using a total of six blocks. I was disappointed when he finished this part, because he used all the mortar to fill the end blocks and used the cement as mortar. He offered to fix it by scraping out the cement and using mortar over it, but I told him to leave it, I was concerned at this point if he had worked with cement and mortar before. He told me he would be back in a couple days to install the gate after building it at the shop. Did not hear from him for three days and called to find out what was up, he had a death in his family and would be out early the next week. Next week arrived and no news. Called again and told it was because of the funeral. He would be out the next day to install. He came and installed the gate, but brought the wrong bolts to finish the latch. Once again, waited several days for him to return and finish latch, and finally called to get him to come. A project that should have taken at most 6 hours and spanned a couple days ended up taking 17 days. I feel just terrible about the young mans death in the family, but Michael at SMRT should have reassigned the project to someone else, or at the very least made sure that there was constant communication as most of the time we felt in the dark.
