"We have worked with over 30 moving companies here in Albuquerque and the surrounding areas. All claim to be the best and this and that...We call bs and never again will believe the hype. Even less when it comes from random so called moving companies or individuals off Craigslist. Fresh Start Moving Company is hands down, genetically superior to any we've ever dealt with. Although they come with a price point to match their unmatched overall quality and moving experience, they are worth every penny. Don't believe you get what you pay for and or prefer to go the cheap route? I wish you the best. You'll regret it...We've already learned better, the hard and expensive way. You always get what you pay for... Don't forget, we've already tried all the other moving companies... We normally pay $95 per hour for 2 gentle yet beast mode activated workers plus $48 trip fee for their lift equipped truck. Not the cheapest in town but these guys will earn every penny and actually save you money at the end of the day via not wrecking any of your belongings and not lagging or dragging out the job... Whether we have used their services for entire house moving, pianos, organs, pools tables, run of the mill furniture, high end mid century pieces and antiques, these guys lift like monsters yet are extremely diligent, delicate and protective when the need to be arises. Needless to say since being Fresh Start we have never and never again will call upon any other moving company other than Fresh Start for any and all of our moving needs. Hats off to : Big Eric aka "The Human Fork Lift" Julian, "The Furniture Teleporter" John, "The Man With The Plan" To confirm this review is 100% legit and not written by the company or friend of, feel free to give us a call at 505-710-1126 and we'll personally, as a Fresh Start Client for life be glad to talk to you about our past and on going experiences with FS. Ask for James. Cheers"

"Am happily writing this review. Direct pro logistics did a fantastic job of moving me from Southern California to Northern California. They were prompt, courteous and professional. The 2 gentlemen handling my move were very thoughtful and thorough. I had not finished packing everything and they carefully packed and wrapped my furniture. They were quick , efficient and hard working. My furniture was delivered on time and quickly unloaded. Thank you so much for taking the stress out of the move. Judy"

Before your piano movers arrive, it’s a good idea to prep the piano for its journey to avoid damage, as well as clear a path to make the move as easy as possible. You can start by using bubble wrap and moving blankets to protect the keys, lids, and pedals. Drape moving blankets over the piano and secure them, if possible, to protect the surface from damage. Next, clear furniture and other obstructions out of the path from the piano to the door. It’s also wise to maintain a close spot for the moving truck to park out front.
Yes, it is absolutely worth it to hire piano movers. Pianos are heavy and bulky, which makes them very challenging to move safely and without causing damage to the piano and your home. Hiring piano movers is especially worthwhile if you need to move the instrument up or down staircases, as that can put you and your helpers at risk of serious injury. Overall, the price you’ll pay to hire a professional piano mover pales in comparison to the damage you could do to your piano or your home if you attempt the move yourself.
It is not necessary to tip piano movers, and workers from reputable companies generally won’t expect tips. However, if you’re pleased with the service and the movers are friendly and respectful, tipping can show your appreciation for how well the crew cared for what is likely a very expensive instrument. Tipping between $20 and $40 per mover is about average.
It is certainly possible to move a piano without hiring movers, but it’s not recommended. Not only will you need at least four people to lift and maneuver the piano, but getting it around tight corners and down flights of stairs might not be possible without the help of movers. Plus, pianos are exceptionally heavy and bulky, which means you and any helping hands are at risk of injury, as well as an increased risk of damaging your piano. Ultimately, it’s always worth it to call in a professional piano mover.
The average cost to move a piano is around $400, but your total will depend on the type of piano and your living situation—tight corners and flights of stairs will complicate the move. Moving an upright piano will be more affordable—around $250—and a full grand piano will cost closer to $550. Long-distance moves will bump all of these prices up and sometimes double them if the move is across state lines.
