"Koala Insulation did an awesome job on two of mine projects. They did blow fiberglass on my covered porch ceiling, on kitchen ceiling, on garage ceiling and sun room ceiling. The always answer the phone. They promptly schedule, they do quality job and clean everything after they done. I highly recommend Koala insulation!"
"It is a a rare occurrance these days when a company actually provides professional services. The owner, Alvaro, was a pleasure to work with. The employees at BluSky are an amazing group of men, who are clearly skilled craftsman. My house was insulated on the exterior and synthetic stucco was applied. It now looks almost like a real adobe house; with the curves around the windows, etc. I hate to say that I have no complaints whatsoever, as I will be using them again, and with all the postive responses about this company, they are going to be completely booked! "
"l spoke with three other solar installation companies and was unhappy with the level of professionalism and the knowledge of the salesperson. I had decided to cancel the idea when I came across Sunpro in an ad. I was attended to immediately, a very impressive assessment was done to analyze the amount of electricity I have been using through the years and exactly how many solar panels I would need to cover my power needs without overpaying for panels that were not needed. Everything was documented for me in a very professionally done color booklet with all the facts, figures, and graphs that made it very easy for me to understand the entire process, costs, benefits, and etc. During this process I was advised what Government rebates were available for the installation of solar panels AND that if a structure was needed to mount the panels to, rebates might also apply to the cost of the structure. We had been considering adding a patio to our home and Sunpro showed us the benefit of building the patio now which would provide the exact location and angle for the panels to capture the maximum amount of sunlight. The entire job was done in a surprisingly short time and the quality was superb. The patio (including stamped and colored concrete) turned out beautifully. Frankly, I don't think I have ever been truly satisfied with any work that has been done on my home until this experience. Even the city inspector remarked at the excellent quality of the work that was being done. In addition, the Sunpro system included making the entire house energy efficient by spraying foam insulation in the attic and sealing the entire house. This extra step (which was never suggested by the other companies) has made an amazing difference in the way the home feels and it allowed for fewer panels needed to provide the power my family requires (saving me money). I have found out since the installation that Sunpro used certain components in their system that were far superior to what the other companies had advised. These small and inexpensive upgrades have made this system far more efficient than what I had been shown by the other companies. The owner of Sunpro provided amazing supervision for the entire job. Sunpro also provided ALL the documentation I needed to apply for the rebates and tax credits. Everything was put in an organized folder to give to my CPA. The entire process went perfectly. Since then, Sunpro has done other work for me that has also been done perfectly. I don't know if solar panels are right for everyone, but this is definitely one of the best decisions I have ever made. since the installation, I have not pain an electric bill. In fact, at this time the electric company owes me electricity. I might add that in my particular case, the entire project costs LESS than what it would have cost me to build the patio alone. Frankly, it is my policy to NEVER recommend anyone. I have taken the time to write this extensive recommendation only because I am 100% satisfied with the way the job was handled and the quality of the work and materials and the outcome of the entire project. "Roberto was the technician and he was very professional, polite, and personable. He inspected the rest of our system and told us things that needed to be changed or repaired. He showed me pictures of everything. Everything he told me about was accurate. He quoted me a price for R38 insulation , Some of our ducts were plastic and he recommended them to be changed. I agreed completely and didn't know they were plastic. I would have had them done the work but I had no price comparisons to make and besides I didn't have the money right then. So he just finished the vent cleaning and left his card. He did a great job on the vent cleaning and was happy with the work."
About half of our kitchen and half of the utility room had become bowed by water leaking under the floor from a water heater. We discovered the water heater leak and replaced it, but were not aware of the extent of the problem. No one wanted the job! It wasn't big enough for them. Ramon Acosta of D&R Services determined the extent of the damage and gave us a fair estimate. His team obtained the floor covering we selected and did a beautiful job of putting it down covering both affected rooms after replacing the floor itself. There was also damage to a door jam that required additional structural work, which they also handled. They cleaned everything up and left nothing for us to have to do ourselves.

Hanging a thick blanket over your windows will help to keep the heat inside, but only a little. Covering the glass will also prevent the sunlight from getting in, which might actually decrease the efficiency of your window overall. If you get to the point where you’re hanging blankets over your window to keep warm, call in an expert to seal around your windows to prevent warm air from escaping. They may also recommend replacing old windows that aren’t as insulative as newer window technology. Sealing a window isn’t terribly expensive and can make a big difference.
It's essential to use insulation materials specifically designed for air ducts. Common types of duct insulation materials include fiberglass, foam board, and reflective foil. These insulation materials have the right properties to withstand the temperature and airflow conditions within the ductwork. Using the appropriate insulation not only ensures efficient temperature control but also prevents potential safety hazards or the release of harmful particles into the air.
You should not put fiberglass insulation in basements, since fiberglass is known to trap mold and mold is more commonly grown and produced in basements. You should also avoid placing insulation near water heaters, oil burners, or other hot appliances. For more information about the best and worst places to install insulation, consider hiring an insulation professional.
Once installed, injection insulation requires little maintenance, but periodic inspections for air leaks or moisture buildup are recommended.
Water heater blanket prices range from $20 to $40 on average, though you typically won’t need to spend more than $30 for all the tools and materials required for installation—which include the blanket itself, heavy-duty scissors, and electrical tape. Blankets with higher R-values will also be slightly higher in price.
