"This company was represented by the ownersâ a father and son. Both were friendly, on time and serious about fixing my leaky frost free spigot. I would recommend them. The new faucet they put in also leaked and so they came back the next morning and fixed it right away. I was very happy and would use them again"

"Great! I paid Neli $35 for a 1 hour visual consultation and they were able to correctly diagnose the problem as a defective electronic control board. After some research online they determined that a replacement part was no longer available anywhere for the 8 year old machine. I told them that I wanted to repair it since I also had a matching blue front loading washer. He then gave me the name of a company that repairs electronic parts like that. I sent them the faulty control board which they repaired and returned to me approximately 10 days later. The cost of the repair was $150 plus shipping. The dryer is now working like new!"

Small jobs welcome
"We hired Do-Moore Home Improvements for a bathroom remodel (x2) and were immediately impressed by their work ethic, craftmanship, and reasonable price quotes. We received several estimates for the job and Do-Moore stood out the most. We were so pleased with their outstanding quality of work and professional style that we hired them for many more jobs on the project, to include dry wall, mud texture, interior painting, wood vinyl flooring throughout, kitchen tile backsplash, and trims throughout (baseboards, door casings, and ceiling crowns). They are dedicated to ensure timely work completion, and always left a neat and tidy work space. They are true artists and it is evident that they take pride in their work. We highly recommend this experienced team of entrepreneurs."

"Edwards Appliance Repair did a great job fixing our washing machine and the cost was very reasonable. The repairman was prompt, professional, and knew his stuff. He assessed the problem with our washing machine, explained what was needed to fix it, had the part in the truck, and the repair took less than 15 minutes. We are very pleased with the service Edwards Appliance Repair provided and will call them again anytime we have an appliance that needs repair."

"I called early in the morning, Even though it was outside of business hours, they scheduled me repair over the phone. The service technician contacted me that he was on his way, arrived on time and quickly did the repair. He found the blockage, but cleaned the pipe out for the entire length of the snake. He was very professional and the sink is now draining smoothly."

"I used this company to replace my kitchen sink faucet that has been leaking for over a year. Last week the drain backed up and due to the leak both sinks kept filling up. They came out right when they stated they would and knocked out both the clog and replaced the leaking faucet."

"Arrived on time, and repaired the leaking pipe under my kitchen sink. He's personable, and easy to talk to. Randy didn't talk down to me, he explained everything that was wrong and what needed to be done to fix it. When he was finished he made sure all areas around where he worked was cleaned up before he left. When I have more plumbing problems I will be calling Randy again, I highly recommend him!!!"
The average cost to hire a handyman ranges from about $40 to $140 per hour. Average project cost ranges between $180 and $700, but the cost per hour and per project depends heavily on the type, size, and complexity of the project. The pro’s experience level and your location also factor into how much a handyman charges per hour or per project. You can also expect to pay higher rates or additional fees for emergency services, or around periods of high customer demand, like holidays.
Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
The average cost to unclog a drain is around $200, with prices ranging between $110 and $800, depending on the type of drain and the extent of the clog. Hiring a professional to snake the toilet or sink will usually cost between $110 and $275, a bathtub or shower typically costs around $225, and a main line clog can cost between $100 and $800 based on the severity of the clog and how far beyond the access point the clog sits. Since the labor involved varies, most plumbers will charge an hourly rate for drain cleaning.
Yes, you should hire a handyman who’s licensed, certified, and insured, if possible. States have different requirements for handyman licensing, registration, and certifications. If licensing is required in your area, you may pay more for a licensed handyman with experience than one who is not licensed or certified, but you’re likely to get a better end result for your project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local handymen guidelines.
The average cost to hire a plumber is around $100 an hour but can vary between $45 and $200 an hour depending on the plumber’s experience and the repair that you need. It’s also important to note that these prices can go up on holidays, and emergency plumber rates average $150 per hour, in addition to a flat-rate trip fee of $100 to $350.
