"I can't say enough about this contractor! The work was amazing and they did everything they said they'd do, when they said they'd do it, and everyone I worked with there from the office manager on out was terrific. They can do anything from plumbing to electrical to building barn door fixtures, which means you don't need to find anybody else after you call them. What I loved most was they brought their own ideas, and because of this, I have a nice, spacious laundry room/mud room/garage entry area where once there was a very narrow passage where you could barely squeeze past the washer to get out the garage door - but they were able to see the space laid out in a different way, and now it's both functional and beautifully designed. ALSO - the fireplace was just an in-wall gas fireplace with a marble surround flat to the wall around it, with a very narrow plain white mantle high up on the wall - no hearth or anything -and these guys built me a brand new white brick fireplace with a rustic mantle based on a Pinterest picture I showed them - way more than I expected and exactly what I wanted! Best of all, they knew I had these lamps I wanted to put on the mantle, so they built hidden electrical outlets flat into the mantle, next the wall, so I don't have wires hanging down and you can't even see the cords - I hadn't even asked for that, but that's the kind of thing they think about when they're building. Everyone on the team seems to have a good design sense, and I remember a couple of times when they saved me from poor decisions by asking me to come look at something before they finished the install, just because they thought something might look better a different way, and they were right. From a project management perspective, I had up-front pricing on all work, and as I added projects along the way, I was given pricing for the additional work as well. Receipts for payments included a running total of all projects they were doing with original pricing as well a list of all payments made - there was never any confusion about balances owed or paid, and this made it very easy to budget and manage the cash flow aspect. Big Dog also works with certain companies for things like flooring, windows, and doors, so since I didn't know where to go, they were able to connect me with people in the industry. My townhouse looks completely different from when I moved in, and I love it! I really appreciate the thought and effort Big Dog put into making my house perfect, and I recommend them highly - I'll be calling them again."

"Our new doors look fantastic! Arthur and his team are excellent craftsmen. They were communicative, thorough, and so easy to work with. During the job there was an issue with our order from the supplier, and Arthur made sure to fix it right away. The guys were also great with my dog and my kids, who were in and out while they worked. "Contacted National Home Improvements regarding leaking patio roof and no follow up response to issue since last year of April 2023. Still awaiting to hear back. Seems like the rain gutter is sagging in the middle of the patio where the two joints meet and water is pooling there and possibly leaking through the seams as illustrated in the photo. Poor design concept. Really disappointed with customer service and quality of product especially for what we have paid for. They clearly don't care about taking care of their customers. I would never hire National Home Improvements again!!!"

"Carlos Dominguez shows no respect to his customer. It is unprofessional - and totally unacceptable - to not answer my emails, telephone calls, text messages. He walked away from my kitchen remodeling project after my email, where I expressed unhappiness with the quality of work, expecting more from someone who has 95% five-star rating. In three and a half days of work there were multiple mistakes in plumbing: including selecting the wrong PVC fittings, not installing the roof vent flashing properly, and drilling oversized holes in the studs violating the building code. Similarly - ignoring the manufacturer's installation manual - he shows up with the wrong duct size for the kitchen exhaust. It must be embarrassing to face criticism from a homeowner, who seems to know more, or care more about things getting done right. His answer: sending a check back without any word, claiming full credit for unfinished, uninspected work. No discussion. Is client satisfaction is the number one goal?"
