"We got three estimates for the job, which were all in the same ball park. Based on their angie's list rating and a good experience of a friend, we picked Fine Painters. From the beginning I really clicked with Vivaldo, our sales guy. He was friendly and easy going. I'm not much of a phone person, so I was very happy that he was so responsive to email (unlike a lot of contractors). The two guys on the crew were great: friendly and professional. "Ronda came to us through our general contractor. She assisted us in selecting our cabinets, counter tops, hardware and tile. She met with us multiple times at our house to work through the cabinet design. And we met with her multiple times at her studio and the tile shop to select our counter top and tile. Always ready to help, she is knowledgeable and has innate design ability. More than that, she can explain her design choices, yet is willing to discuss alternatives and work through the design process in a collaborative manner, bringing many ideas to the table – or kitchen, as it were. She listens to her clients and was able to translate our ideas into a comprehensive design. Throughout the process Ronda worked with our contractor and with us to make certain everything came together as planned. While there were a number of minor snafus, she was always there to make certain issues were resolved and to keep the job moving ahead. Cabinets and counter tops are a significant portion of the remolding cost. Cabinet manufactures are not all that interested in dealing directly with the customer. Rather, they work through their distributors. We purchased our cabinets through Ronda who has a strong working relationship with the manufactures she deals with and can easily work out issues. Thank you Ronda for a wonderful new kitchen!"

"Mr. Cowan was very responsive.  He came out timely and performed the work as described.  He also recommended some additional work that needed to be done.  He took his work very seriously and did an excellent job.  I believe he was a little highly priced, but it is very difficult to find a reliable chimney contractor, and therefore, well worth it.

"About one month ago, I purchased a big deal from Jack of All Trades to have a kitchen floor; Jack and his brother came out to assess the work that I wanted done.  There were issues with my kitchen floor (which I was not surprised).  These issues involved having a sub floor installed before the laminate flooring could be installed. Jack explained what needed to be done and indicated that if I decided to go with him, he could apply the big deal purchase to that work or any other work I wanted.
Not only did Jack provide me with a wealth of information and understanding about my situation, he also fixed my storm door that wouldn't shut properly.
He promised to provide me with a cost and time estimate for the work in a few days, and was true to his word.  I found the price to be fair for what I needed done.  I scheduled the work with Jack.
It was a two day job beginning 1/7 and ending 1/8.  Jack and his brother (please forgive me as I may have his name incorrect)--Kevin or Kendall?  arrived on time and got right to work.  Throughout the time that these gentlemen were in my home, they were professional, polite and courteous.   Jack truly provide me with an education about the work involved and while I admit I couldn't retain everything, I definitely have a better understanding!!!!
I also wanted Jack to repair my bathroom door which is totally off its hinges, however he did not have the time to complete on this job and we will work on a schedule for later (along with a few more things that I need to have done).
What I appreciated today about the Jack of All Trades team, is that when we realized that they returned the dishwasher to it's place but didn't hook it up (from a misunderstanding of its original state)  Jack said "no problem; my partner and I will need to go and get the part and will be back in 30 minutes!"  True to his word; they came back connected my dishwasher.
I went through a lot of interviewing different contractors since August of 2015 many of whom did not honor their commitment to follow up and follow through, or whose prices were crazy off the chart, or who just flat out acted like I was doing them a favor for contacting them.  I am so GLAD that i found Jack of All Trades!
I recommend to all you ladies---and perhaps gents---who need a reliable, professional, and fairly priced handyman service, to try Jack---I don't think you'll be sorry."
