"We had a tree in the front yard that was very large. We had hoped to save it. The arborist from SavATree tried to think of a way to save it, but in the end the only option was to take it down. The team that came to do the work was careful and professional. They took the tree down and chipped it on site. Great work!"

"Avery Tree Service arrived with 6 workers and worked on different areas at once so that they got so much done in only a few hours. Jeff surveyed our property and made recommendations regarding the health and stability of our trees. We agreed on which to cut and which to trim. They worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up the mess very nicely. They will be returning in the fall to trim more trees.
Our experience was extremely positive and professional.
We would recommend them to anyone looking for fast and efficient tree service and will definitely use them again in the future. "

"John arrived on time as he said. Did exactly what he said he would do and more, gave very fair price for amount of work involved. Leaves in front and rear were never cleaned this season . I Would recommend and looking foreword to hiring him back in early spring for tree, shrub trimming and other yard work."

"I sent an e-mail requesting an estimate and I received a quick reply from Trevor.   I agreed to the rate and we scheduled a service date.   He contacted me to confirm the appointment.   He called before they arrived and split and stacked one large pile beautifully.   The pieces are consistent size and will be easy to light.   I would provide a picture but this site doesn't have that option.  During the first day of work I received a call saying that the second pile wasn't accessible due to the overgrown brush (which was taller than I expected) and they provided a very fair price to clear the brush and split the second large pile.   They did just as good a job on the second pile - and I'm absolutely satisfied with the whole service.  I won't need wood for several years, but I hope to use Lucky Strike again.

"Mark was really great and attentive. I was concerned about a tree in my yard and he came the same day to look at it and reviewed to see if all was ok or not with the tree. He found that it was problematic so recommended I remove it and helped me get necessary permits from the township office. highly recommend this company"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

A tree can split because of high winds, a change in temperature, or from an infestation or tree disease. All of these factors can overlap, making a single cause difficult to pinpoint. While winter storms are some of the most common causes for a tree to split, it can also happen because of termites or rot.

Trees aren't big fans of moving, and they do go into shock during a transplant. Although most carefully thought-out tree transplants see the tree recover from the shock just fine, there is always a risk of having an unsuccessful move. Proper preparation, timing, and diligent aftercare are crucial to minimize the risks when transplanting a tree.

Generally, you’ll want to prune back the trunk by 1 to 2 feet each year to promote bushy growth. Doing so concentrates vegetative buds closer to the bottom of the tree, where you can easily harvest fruit. For side shoots that are a year old, leave at least six leaves.

Never remove more than 30% of a tree’s foliage during pruning—even if your tree is really overgrown. Removing this much foliage at a time could kill your tree.

We recommend removing the stump, and grinding is a popular way to do it. You can also dig out small stumps or stumps that have fully decayed instead of grinding them. However, don’t try using acids or fire for killing a tree stump, which is a fire hazard and illegal in many areas.

Leaving the stump alone invites eventual problems, including attracting termites, mold, and fungi.

Generally, homeowners do not need permission to cut down a tree on their own private property, but there are several exceptions where a permit may be required. You might need a permit if the tree is particularly large, old, or a protected species, such as a heritage tree. Trees located near public property or power lines can also be subject to special rules. Additionally, many local governments and homeowners associations (HOAs) have regulations controlling which trees can be removed to manage an area's appearance or prevent the spread of invasive species. To avoid hefty fines, it is crucial to check with your local government and HOA to determine if a permit is needed before you begin.
