They were able to add all ducts to the first floor with out any "chases" or enclosures requiring to be build. He advised me that the transformer had to be replaced and there could be problems elsewhere in the system that triggered the transformer to burn out.  
While Zack prepared me for the possibility of additional repairs that might be necessary, it turned out that the system was restored by replacing a relatively inexpensive component.  
I have used other companies over the years and been unhappy with price and/or professionalism.  I don't like using one-man show companies and I had used a much larger company until they sent an unprofessional repair person to my home.
I am very pleased with this medium sized company: they coordinated the repair nicely.  I always felt I was talking with a person who knew what was going on and what needed to be done at each point and got to my home expeditiously,  There were no surprises: Despite the weird name, Pipeworks is now my "Go-to company" for HVAC matters."
