"We came across Moving of America via Angi and saw good reviews. We were on a relatively short time frame to do an in-state move. Joey was responsive and organized, describing the way the company manages the move, how the cost is calculated. His colleague Galileo came to do the in person estimate. He was on-time and pointed out suggestions on ways to pack and manage the move process most effectively. The team at Moving of America followed back up with the contract as well as a call the day before to follow up on some of the logistics. The day of, the foreman was in contact on arrival time, introduced his team, did a walkthrough and got to work. The team worked hard throughout the day and raised any questions or issues. While the move did go over the estimate, the foreman was clear on the timing and expectations. We appreciate all of their hard work and would recommend them to others"

"PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! I hired them for a personal move from NYC to Putnam County and they will sell you the stars and moons and claim to be the best in the business. Steve Eschebauer booked the move for us and Mary Purcell coordinate the local move. Once the movers arrived, it was clear to us that it would be enough man power to handle the move. The movers SEVERELY DAMAGED OUR BED BEYOND REPAIR. I submitted a claim to get some kind of compensation and because I didn't purchase extra insurance, the company will only refund you $.60 per lb. My bed is a $3,000+ bed and they offered to refund me $180 which was ridiculous. They want you to purchase extra insurance which costs almost the same amount of the actual move. Although Mary offered to help with this problem, the ultimate solution was to send a repair company to "fix" the bed by putting some nails through it. But truth be told, the bed is no longer the same and we are out both a bed and descent amount refund to be able to purchase another one. And to add salt to the wound, they emailed us to say that the bed was reapaired to our satisfaction when in reality the bed is broken beyond repair!!! This company is IRRESPONSIBLE and doesn't care whether your goods are damaged or not after they get paid! THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY EVEN TO MY WORST ENEMY! SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND GO ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR MOVE!!"

"Initially, Eli and the movers did a good job packing up the items, for the interstate move. There was a little confusion on the delivery date, which Eli assisted. However, two items were damaged in the move- a couch and bookshelf and the movers scammed me with an elevator charge of $300 (which was never discussed and wondered if the 2 movers would have preferred the 4 flights of stairs instead). Also, the movers used my bathroom and who clearly did not wash their hands. I relayed all of this to Eli via email, along with pictures of the damaged items. I was promised that the damaged items were submitted for insurance, back in January and that I should wait 3 months. It is now July. 3 emails and one call later, I have heard nothing and will be submitting to small claims for the damaged items to recoup."

"They got the job done very well! Competent, strong, smart about what fits where and capable of moving everything carefully. It was wet out and they properly set up work blankets to protect the carpets. Often asked if there was anything else they could do to get the job done - wasted no time but didn’t rush. Excellent service and I would recommend them and use them again if needed personally."

"Their price was the best and I was skeptical after reading other reviews where people said they increased the price upon arrival. I inquired about this and my sales rep said this is usually for additional items not included in the quote, which makes sense. As I was packing I called Aaron to add things so there were no surprises at the cost of my move. The guys showed up on time and drove my furniture to my elderly parents' house in Delaware, where they kindly set up the bed at no extra charge. Aaron was wonderful and responsive the whole time. Will definitely be using them again and highly recommend."
