We have over 27 years of experience in the fencing industry, working with all types of fences and railings. We offer free estimates for all jobs, regardless of its size. We are fully insured and licensed do not use subcontractors.

"Absolutely terrible business people. We hired them to replace existing fence. Needed it to the ground, no gaps, as we have two small dogs. We have major gaps, as soon as they were done, my dog got out through gap. So they were of no help in fixing this issue, a lot of excuses as to why they did such a poor job. But honestly, as bad as that was, we found out they messed up the sprinkler system we have. Put post with cement into ground and totally messed it up. When we reached out to Ricardo to discuss this problem, as we have pictures, and told him the cost of the repair, again a lot of excuses and ridiculous responses. So no, I would not recommend at all. Actually gave him a few weeks to make this right, but haven't heard a word from him."

"I don’t usually write reviews, but I always read them carefully when having work done. I recently contacted Direct Fence because my door wasn’t closing properly. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. The customer service representative was very professional and clearly explained the process. My door was fixed within a week, and the technician who did the work was punctual, professional, and did a great job. I was very happy with the outcome. Direct Fence installed my original fence nearly five years ago, and this recent experience confirmed that I made the right choice. It's exactly why I highly recommend them today—they truly stand behind their work!"

Animal Fencing questions, answered by experts

The height of your garden fence depends on your goals and priorities. Do you need to keep rabbits out? Then you’ll need at least two feet in height to do so. Is it more of a privacy fence? For that, you’ll want to construct something at least 7 feet tall so that there’s little chance anyone can see over the fence. Some garden fences are purely decorative, in which case the height is up to you.

You can sometimes install a fence over a gas line. Fence installation typically requires a two-foot depth for posts, so if the lines are shallower than two feet, you cannot put a fence post over the line. You’ll need to call 811 to get the gas lines located and marked before you start the project.

Both nails and screws are common in fence construction, including on pickets. Some builders prefer to use nails when connecting the pickets to the rails and screws when connecting the rails to the posts. However, the best option usually depends on the type of wood fencing and the variety of wood you choose.

Concrete is one of the easiest, most cost-efficient, and most effective ways to stabilize a fence post. To stabilize a fence post with concrete, you’ll dig a hole around the post in question and fill it up with concrete—easy as that. Concrete lasts about 50 years on average, so it’s a long-term solution.

The thickness of a glass fence varies widely based on its application and whether or not there are any safety requirements, but most fences are between 8 millimeters and 12 millimeters thick. 12-millimeter-thick glass is extremely strong and overkill in most cases, which is why you typically only see it around pools and in skyscrapers.
