"Fabulous! I have used them many times, and will continue to use them. they are prompt, efficient, really good, professional, etc. I can't believe they can get out the stains we manage to put in."
Hardware Store aisle after owner rearranged their aisles, before we stripped and refinished it
Here is the family room with the owner's favorite chair area before we cleaned the carpet
The client doesn't realize just how dirty her floor is, and becomes amazed at the outcome!
This is the client's den area where the floors were refinished. There is a long list of major errors. Here it starts with dreadful sanding resulting in drum marks & edger digs, incomplete sanding, completely botched staining, and a horrible 'finished' product!
Here you can see several etch marks, (drips, dribbles, spills and drink ring marks)

"PowerPro Carpet Cleaning did an awesome job on my rugs, carpets, tiles and grout. they are better than new! They’re fast, thorough, and use the pet-safe, natural products. The owner (Richie) cares, the team’s detailed, and their grout cleaning is top-notch. With their 100% satisfaction guarantee, they beat Stanley Steemer hands down and have piece of mind! Highly recommend for any home or business!"

"I hired the company for carpet, area rugs and a upholstered couch. The couch which is 15 years old appeared almost new when they finished and the carpet and rugs were also cleaned to perfection, even getting rid of tough stains. They were punctual and extremely professional. I do plan to use there services again and recommend them to family and friends."

Upholstering questions, answered by experts

The best way to test the quality of a leather couch is to put your hands on it. If the upholstery is soft and warm, that’s a good indication that the quality is higher. It should also smell like traditional leather. If it smells like chemicals, you’re probably dealing with low-grade leather.

Ongoing maintenance of your leather furniture is the only way to prevent it from peeling and cracking. Real leather will peel and crack as it dries out. Leather conditioners are a great way to protect your leather furniture from drying out, and you’ll need to apply it about twice each year. It’s also a good idea to keep abrasive materials away from your leather to prevent cracking and peeling, including belt buckles, shoes, and multi-surface cleaners, especially those that contain alcohol.

Doing your own upholstery work is possible, but it’s typically a better idea to leave the work to professionals. Without experience and the proper tools, it’s difficult to get a professionally finished appearance for your furniture, and many DIYers end up spending money on tools and materials only to hire a professional when they can’t get the fabric to look right. If you have reupholstery experience, feel free to give it a shot. However, if you’re not confident in your skill level or you’re working with antiques, it’s worth the money to hire a pro.

Paying to reupholster a piece of furniture means you want to hire the right upholstery service, especially for a piece that’s expensive or carries a lot of sentimental value. In your search for the right upholstery company, be sure to:

  • Ask around to see if friends or family know of any upholsterers

  • Find reviews of the company or individual

  • Look at the photo gallery of their work to see if they work on furniture like yours and if you like their work

  • Check qualifications and references

  • Ask the upholstery service if they work on furniture like yours, what their schedule looks like, how they handle payments, and how long the job will take

The average cost to reupholster a piece of furniture is around $720, with most projects falling in the $380 to $1,150 range. The final price can vary significantly based on several factors. These include the size and complexity of the furniture, the cost of the new fabric (which typically ranges from $50 to $70 per yard), and hourly labor rates (often $40 to $100 per hour). Additional factors that influence the price are the piece's current condition, its age, whether it needs other repairs, the number of pieces being reupholstered, and your geographic location.
