"Servicios Martínez did a great job for me. I had 30+ thirty gallon lawn bags full of leaves, pine cones and other yard waste after an extensive clean-up. Through HomeAdvisor/Angi I contacted Servicios Martínez and later that same day they took all my yard waste away. They were thorough, quick and thoughtful. Definitely I would use Servicios Martínez again. Donald, Maplewood NJ"

"I am so glad I found Jonathan and his services. I lost my last landscaper as I think he was abruptly and wrongfully deported. The work Jonathan has done has been fantastic, above and beyond what I've had done before. My yard is very visible in my lakefront location, and I care how my yard looks to everyone walking/driving by.. I personally treat my lawn to make it look its best. Jonathan is very easy to work with and I thought, reasonable too! I will most probably use him for cleanup too in the fall!"

"Kevin has been very quick to respond and very very communicative. We brought Island Roots in to mow and maintain our lawn and he has let us know when he is planning on coming, what he will be doing and checked in to be sure we liked the results. Very meticulous and detailed, Kevin is also very friendly and professional when speaking with us. I can highly recommend this start up business."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

The best disposal method for hazardous waste is to take it to a professional dumping facility that specializes in and accepts hazardous materials. These facilities will dispose of the materials in a way that is safe for both humans and the environment. If you don’t have access to a nearby facility, the best way to get rid of hazardous waste is to call a professional garbage removal company who handles disposing of hazardous materials .

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

The EPA enforces hazardous waste laws and ensures people dispose of their hazardous waste responsibly. Depending on where you live, your state’s hazardous waste regulatory agency may also enforce these laws. Individually, it’s up to each household to properly dispose of their hazardous waste.

No, you can’t place hazardous waste in a dumpster unless you specifically ordered a dumpster for hazardous waste removal. If the dumpster company finds hazardous waste that it didn’t approve for dumping, the company will return the waste to you, and you’ll likely face a fine for illegal dumping.
