"We closed on our new home on April 30, 2015 and as promised Enhancement Systems arrived first thing on May 1st to install our Hide-A-Hose Central Vacuum System. This was a brand new home which our builder no longer offered a central vacuum system. That was lucky for us as this is a far superior system than what we would have been offered and at a much better price. From my initial inquiry to the finished product, we are thrilled with this system. The men who did the installation were courteous and professional and did an outstanding job. Can not say enough good things about this company! My only regret is that I did not write this review sooner! Pam M."
"He arrived quickly, moved quickly and efficiently, was pleasant and business-like, and after the job was done, he replaced dead bulbs in my chandelier that I couldn't reach. Who could ask for more?"
"The provider was very careful about getting all the airducts cleaned. The only negative was that I had to vacuum all the rooms around the register vents, because there was a lot of debris left on the floors when he was done. My air ducts are cleaner than they have been in years, "
"I took advantage of the "Big Deals" and hired Rogers Construction through Angie's List for a complete bathroom reno. Roger was punctual at beginning of the project. His team Luis and Antonio quickly completed the demo and removed the rubbish and Luis was careful with detail when he installed the tile work. Roger suggested design ideas and worked with me with payment questions. The completed reno work dragged on longer than expected due to other projects Roger was working on, but it wasn't too bad. There was some confusion about when and how the service provider gets reimbursed from Angie's List (Big Deals) for the down payment that is due to them for a project. Roger had no knowledge that the down payment paid to Angies List was supposed to eventually go to him and because of this he expected the expense to come from me when the final payment was made. Attempting to help him better understand, I explained the process to him and encouraged him to contact his rep for details. As I read other reviews after my bathroom was completed I saw that other customers continued to have similar problems. Angie's List needs to be more clear to their service providers about the details involving the "Big Deals". Maybe this is why he was placed in the "penalty box". The final cost was more than what the "Big Deal" was offering because the project required additional labor at my request. Overall, I was happy with the finished work. The labor, attention to detail and the overall design of the room was impressive. My new bathroom was exactly how I envisioned it to be. I would recommend him. "
"They were wonderful and they know the process about heating and cooling and what the problem was. They really know what they were doing and aside from that the owner, he is a very educated engineer, he is very confident to do his work. They came to check what's the problem and they came the next day with the parts they installed and fix it.They were very professional then they will give you an update and I highly recommend them."
"I called Go Green for an emergency service. Technician arrived less with an hour of call. Abbas (technician) assessed the issue and advise of my options. I decided to proceed with the service offered and my new boiler was installed within hours. The tech was very professional, work area was cleaned and he offered an overview of the new equipment. Thanks GO GREEN for the excellent service, however, the cost was outrageous!!! "

Install Central Vacuum questions, answered by experts
Experienced professionals don’t usually need to take down drywall to install the central vacuum. They are experienced in working in the tight spaces between walls and in crawl spaces to minimize any damage. The only drywall changes should be the holes cut for the new outlets. However, home design, existing plumbing, and other factors may require some modification. An estimate from a professional contractor should include information if any changes need to be made.
Yes, installing a central vacuum system typically adds value to your home. The ease of use, longevity, and superior suction power of a central vacuum system can add up to $2,000 to your home’s value if you decide to sell. Potential buyers may consider the central vacuum a perk to purchasing your home.
A central vacuum system can be a worthwhile investment depending on your needs and budget. While the upfront cost is higher than a traditional vacuum cleaner, it offers significant long-term benefits. These systems can save you time and make cleaning your home easier, as you only need to carry the hose and vacuum head, eliminating the need to lug a heavy unit up and down stairs. They also tend to operate more quietly and can improve indoor air quality. The convenience and performance over many years may make it a valuable addition to your home if you can budget for the initial installation.
Technically, yes, you could install a central vacuum system on your own, but it is a very difficult DIY. There is a significant amount of planning, cutting into walls, and electrical wiring work that goes into it, which should only be performed by a professional. Because of the difficulty and expense associated with a central vacuum system, it’s worth it to hire a professional company familiar with the installation's complexities.
The disadvantages associated with central vacuums start with cost. They are expensive to install, especially in existing homes, as retrofitting requires opening walls. The system's bulky hoses can also be inconvenient to maneuver and store compared to portable vacuums. Additionally, repairs may need professional service, adding to maintenance costs. Lastly, while powerful, they may be overkill for smaller homes or apartments, making the investment less practical for some households.
